I want to like Ted Cruz. He has all the right views from Obamacare to taxes to amnesty to Federal spending. He’s a gifted speaker, his speech yesterday was given without a teleprompter. He appeared genuine, frankly it appeared as though he had written the speech himself. The left hates Cruz, which of course makes him all the more likable. John McCain has called him a wacko bird, which again makes Cruz more likable. Anyone who annoys McCain must be good. Lost in the euphoria conservatives are having over Cruz is an objective look at whether Cruz will actually make a good President. Let’s face it, there isn’t a lot of evidence out there that Cruz is capable. Yes, he has all the right views but is he capable of governing effectively with those principles he claims?
Ted Cruz has as much experience today as Barack Obama did in 2007. Both entered their first Presidential race with zero executive governing experience. Both of them had just over two years of experience in the Senate before announcing their candidacy. Neither of them accomplished anything legislatively in the Senate, neither authored a single bill which made it through the chamber much less Congress. Ted Cruz is the conservative version of Barack Hussein Obama, he even has the birther crazies going wild because he was born in Canada.
Obama would have been much worse, from a conservative standpoint, had he been experienced heading into the White House. During his first year he had a filibuster proof majority in Congress and failed to get more than a watered down Wall Street bill and a Stimulus bill passed. He failed to pass an amnesty bill, he failed to pass a tax increase, he failed to pass Cap & Trade, he failed to close Guantanamo. The President wanted single payer socialist healthcare, he had to settle for Obamacare. Had Obama been more experienced, he’s likely to have figured out how to pass most of his agenda. From a managerial standpoint, his agencies are a mess. They had three years to put together a website for Obamacare and the administration failed miserably. Obama had no idea there was a problem until after the website went live. Obama came into office promising to clean up the VA, six years later nothing has changed. Much of this is due to the President’s inexperience. Obama’s lawless unilateral actions today are directly traceable to his legislative inexperience and lack of skill.
What evidence is there that Ted Cruz will do a better job than Obama? Yes, we can always fall back on Cruz having the right principles. However if he isn’t capable of implementing those principles, what good is he to the conservative cause? The question for conservatives today is what evidence is there that Cruz will be effective managing the executive branch? Objectively there isn’t much evidence out there that he’s capable of doing much of anything other than give a good speech. A President has to be more than that though. There is a lesson to be learned from Obama’s nomination, it simply isn’t wise to nominate someone who doesn’t have much experience.
On a more subjective note, don’t you wonder about the motivations of someone who thinks that after two years in the Senate he’s qualified to be President? After eight years of watching Obama, it’s clear he’s a narcissist. That probably should have been obvious from the moment he announced his candidacy. Only a narcissist would think he’s qualified to run for President with so little experience. Cruz is in the same boat. While it’s nice to believe his motivations are pure and Constitutional, we’re only fooling ourselves if we truly believe it. Cruz is arrogant enough to believe that despite his inexperience and lack of accomplishment he should be elected President. Considering all the conservative jumping on the Cruz bandwagon, it appears we’ve learned little from the mistake of Obama.

2. I am not supporting another candidate, I have not endorsed any candidate and am unlikely to do so until a week or so before the Michigan primary.
3. I do believe in conservative principles which is why Cruz troubles me. It isn’t that Cruz isn’t a conservative, he is. I don’t simply want a conservative to be President, I want a conservative who will be effective as President. There just isn’t any evidence that Cruz will be effective, largely because he has no experience. He’s never gotten anything done in the Senate, which is understandable considering he’s only been there two years.

Clinton was only viewed as a good President because Newt and the Congress dragged him kicking and screaming into tax and welfare reform. Clinton was just smart enough to take credit for it.
Carter was a disaster.

Hey there, Old Sarge. I’ve only seen and heard Cruz advocate legalization for illegals, not citizenship. But three key points:
—legalization does the heavy lifting toward getting them citizenship, which is sure to quickly follow.
—6% of illegals were reported to have voted in the last election as it is, and the least step toward “legalization”, as Obama has clearly shown includes SS#s, drivers licenses, access to EITC, back EITC as if they had been legal and filed for it, welfare benefits, affirmative action, etc. The pull from the newly legalized toward Leftist, Latin-style voting is certain to do irrevocable damage and end conservative majorities in the US as it is.
—simply legalizing illegal invaders is “amnesty”—though again, citizenship, too, is sure to soon follow.

Within the first couple of months of Obama’s illegal immigration executive memos he signed on AF One, at least ninety thousand Social Security cards were issued to illegal aliens. Now Senators Ben Sasse and Jeff Sessions want answers on how many additional social security cards were issued. The answer is important because it will allow citizens to know just how much money taxpayers are spending on illegal aliens.
Social Security cards are keys of the kingdom to illegal aliens. With them, they are able to access a number of all sorts of benefits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit, Social Security disability payments or Social Security’s supplemental income program.
The senators also want to know how much in benefits these illegals have collected. The senators have yet to connect the dots in Obama’s real scheme. Let me help them out.
Social Security cards besides making illegals eligible for benefits, can have a more profound problem for the United States. The cards make it very easy for illegals to register to vote, even in states with voter ID laws.
One of the documents accepted for registering to vote is………….Social Security cards. But administration officials don’t dare instruct the illegals on how to vote and many might not trust them. The Washinton Times explains how easy it would be to add millions of new voters through the democrat’s illegal amnesty.
So how do you get around this? Simple. You have the latino-centric America hating La Raza do it. Yes, La Raza actually teaches illegal immigrants where and how to register and vote. With the advent of so many illegals being able to vote and limited resources, La Raza couldn’t possibly handle the volume or afford to spend the kind of money necessary to facilitate such a huge undertaking.
NOTE WELl: Obama and congressional democrats along with a huge assist from Eric Holder may shed some light on this, too. What if we add the former ACORN into the mix? No, they aren’t defunct, they just use the democratic playbook, which calls for changing the name of ACORN to NeighborWorks America. That may answer the manpower problem to a large extent, but what about the massive amount of money that would be needed?
Both NeighborWorks America and La Raza have found a huge funding source. The DOJ has sued several banks and made settlements in which the banks have paid 24 billion in fines. One of the banks, CitiCorp was also ordered to pay $50 million to La Raza and NeighborWorks America as part of the settlement.
But wait, it doesn’t stop there. Another clause in the agreement makes it possible for La Raza and NeighborWorks America to rake in even larger amounts of money.
Of the remaining money the banks needed to pay in settlements, the banks were able to contribute additional money to La Raza and NeighborWorks America. For every dollar they contribute, it reduces their debt to the government by 2 dollars. That’s some mighty powerful incentive to give generously.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Financial Services Chairman Jeb Hensarling have questioned why this money was sent to the two organizations rather than to the alleged victims of the bank’s crime. The administration of course declined to answer.

So now, with Social Security cards, manpower and tons of money to go along with the two years before the next presidential election, the largest and most successful voter fraud campaign may alter the course of the elections not to mention the future of the United States.

I think Governors have the sort of executive governing experience that a Senator simply doesn’t have. In that respect, I prefer former Governors. That isn’t exclusive though. If Cruz was a 10 year veteran of the Senate, with a list of accomplishment I may very well get behind him. My issue is that he’s only been in the Senate for two years, exactly the same as Obama when he announced he was running for President in 2007. Obviously Cruz and Obama are politically on opposite sides of the spectrum but they do share inexperience in common.
Saddam Hussein’s rotting corpse would be an improvement.

What has Cruz led over the last two years? So far as I can tell he’s responsible for an amusing filibuster and not much else.
One of the reasons why Reagan was so good is because he got his teeth wet as Governor of California. He knew how to lead an executive branch, which allowed him to focus on bigger picture issues. When a President doesn’t know how to lead an executive branch of government their Presidential honeymoon gets bogged down in them learning the job. Obama and Kennedy both had this problem.
Not everyone is a good executive manager, not everyone is cut out for it. Obama is terrible at managing and that trickles down to everything he does. My issue with Cruz isn’t that he’s wrong on issues, he isn’t wrong on anything so far. I question though why we should throw our weight behind someone who has no track record of getting the job done. We certainly want someone who will actually be able to do something for the conservative cause while in office. With no track record of success, why should we simply trust Cruz is capable? Especially so early in the primary race.
Cruz has no real meaningful political success that he can point to. Obama had just as little success. Arguably Obama is worse, he literally did nothing in eight years in the Illinois Senate. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that as a Senator Cruz hasn’t done anything other than get conservatives excited and annoy John McCain and GOP leadership. I’ll freely admit annoying John McCain is great fun and the Cruz filibuster was amusing. It takes more to be President though. What meaningful political accomplishment can Cruz point to?
Unfortunately, the Senate remains one of the routes for aspiring political talent to gain national recognition.
Cruz is one of a small handful of US Senators who are NOT brazenly treasonous against the citizens of the USA. His number one political accomplishment is that he defeated Dewhurst, and thereby prevented another treasonous RINO from joining the likes of McCain, Graham, McConnell, et al.
Instead of bashing Cruz for no apparent reason, why don't you promote your favored candidate, on his/her thread, and provide some reasoning for your support there?

OK then why are you not pushing Rick Perry for President? He’s been a successful governor for 12 years and Texas is booming thanks in a significant part to him. He should be your number one choice
What about Jeb Bush an arguably very successful Governor for two terms. He should be your number two choice.

Governing a state is not the same as governing a Nation.
Our nation is so far down the wrong path that we don’t need mid management in the Whitehouse. We need a leader who can effect major change.
Right now IMO there are only two people inclined to run for the Presidency who have the force of personality to start restoring the country. Ted Cruz is the first and Donald Trump is the second. Everybody else is just same ole same ole. They will be a placeholder for the next Democrat. That’s how bad things are. Something radical has to happen. Its 5 minutes til midnight.
Why would you use a GOPe or liberal term like “whacko” to describe Cruz if you like him?
