here is Emil de Vattel in Law of the Nations natural Born citizen Book Chapter 19 section 212 - Of the citizens and natives - The citizens are the members of the civil society, bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes o its own preservation: and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children, and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming in the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.

keep in mind the founding fathers were able to converse in the political language of that time period French. Franklin purchased 3 copies of Vattels Law of the Nations to be utilized by the Founding Fathers. Vattel wrote the work in French in 1758. When Alexander Hamilton, wrote in the Federalists Papers #78 about vattel’s work. The concept of Naturalization of Citizens went into effect in 1795. Also keep in mind our courts are based also on the Law of the Nations. samuel Putendorf’s work also influenced America’s Founding Fathers, it too was written in French. Th french Revolution came about by these works too, but France was to weak to survive by fractions and Napoleon rose up in the vaccuum

When my great grandfather came to the United States from Belgium in 1881 he was granted his first papers in the process of naturalization in 1884. However he never became a naturalized citizen as he died in the influenza epidemic in 1903 prior to taking the oath of allegiance to the USA as required since 1795. Family history states he intended to do so, but never finished the process.

One question I have is both Obama and Cruz are graduates of Harvard law school. What is Harvard Law school teaching the legal minds of today. The Constitution does not seem to being even part of the curriculia of the students whom are practicing lawyers and politicians - What is happening?
