I was being sarcastic. I was saying that people who don’t know anything about anything “know” that hydrogen is the way to go, while engineers who have actually worked in the field are so stupid that they don’t know that hydrogen is superior to fossil fuels.

There are places that hydrogen as fuel has its place. Rockets, for instance. Pound for pound, it produces more thrust than kerosene. However, a pound of hydrogen takes up far more space than a pound of gasoline, is far more difficult to store, plus a myriad of other technical and safety issues.
It is an interesting idea, but not one that should be government subsidized.
