I have stopped being surprised by anything that comes out of the mouth of this Pope.

So is it okay or not to rebel against the death penalty when it’s imposed by those in authority who must always be obeyed?

This Pope confuses me.

If the Pope were correct, why didn’t Jesus save the lives of the criminals who were hanging on crosses on either side of Him at Golgotha?

Lousy president; lousy pope.

Strangely enough, though, the Vatican’s official paper, L’Osservatore Romano, came out in favor of “terminal sedation,” which even the French were fighting (although it did pass, alas). This allows doctors to sedate a terminally ill person and withhold food and water. In other words, a cruel euthanasia, but since the person is sedated, we won’t hear and be made uncomfortable by them begging for water.

So I guess you have a right to life and humane treatment only if you’re a convicted killer.
