Well you don’t get to be a Medal of Honor winner unless you know a little something about the usage of a gun. I’m just saying!

Since he is in control of the baby, and the gun is within a food of his body, I would not refer to the gun as “unattended”.

When you do that and the kid notices, you say “Go for it.” When the kid does and gets the drop on you, you know you have done your job as a parent. Both my kids could shoot better than me.

“semi-automatic handgun” - what an ass.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Considering the family, I somehow doubt that’s the first time the little one has been around a firearm.

I have a bunch of unattended guns in my house right now. They must be lonely...

You don't get the Army Achievement Medal without knowing a little about guns. LOL

Hmm...blurry picture being viewed on a small phone but appears that it may be a 1911. My main concern is that looks like it doesn’t have a magazine!

It appears to be lacking a magazine. If it’s not loaded, it’s not a firearm, just a piece of metal.

It's a miracle, I tell ya!

Good catch, unless the little tyke can do a fast tactical reload and rack the slide, we’re safe.
To: lonestar
I had loaded (unchambered) rifles in the unlocked gunrack in my bedroom when I was a kid...
And, as far as I know, they never jumped off the rack and shot anyone.
