I agree. We have wild fires and tornadoes here in Oklahoma. I am a cancer survivor and I understand about making your peace with God. I hope we will have a lot of FReepers in Heaven. Maranatha.
To where?
That was the second half of the problem, having somewhere to go.
Many of the guys who bought their way out ended up right back in Nazi hands because they had no place to go.
Actually - a lot of the locals rounded up the jews and stole their property. Class enevy and division by politicians taken to its logical conclusion.
I've pretty much arrived at the conclusion that no place on earth is going to be safe. Only some, like D.C., will be a whole lot less safe than others.
Best to work things out so that one's domicile receives the passover mark from the Almighyt's Angels. Better still, a fully prepared soul.
Bless you for sharing!!
Most canned food has lots of salt in it. That’s bad for lots of us in normal times, but good for survival situations.
A good relationship with God doesn't get us out of that hard work.

Water, Heat, Food, Hygeine (health). In that order at the top of my list. After that is some defensive hardware that is realistically tailored to my region and situation.
Just a simple thing such as forgetting to pay your water bill will remind you just how important simple and cheap preps are. I travel a lot. On one trip to Europe for two months I assumed my auto bill payment would work. When I came back the water was shut off. Aside from the inconvenience of using buckets to heat water there was no problem. Along that, we got hammered with a cold spell before I had a chance to seal the crawlspace. Water pipes froze, BUT, I had plenty of water while I waited for the pipes to thaw.
Probably the only real issue that would require bugging out of my area is a chemical spill from near by rail road tracks.
Earthquake.
Live on a fault line. It’s going to happen.
Yes.
You've got that right. The hard work is only beginning and it isn't just their physical needs we need to concern ourselves with.
From the most unlikely the Almighty will recruit and strengthen for the task ahead.
Great post as always Johnny!
Every geographical area has different challenges. If you live in the dessert your priorities will be different from someone in the tundra.
I have made some general preps for food, water, shelter and power needs in the hope of getting through three to six months of whatever might happen.
You can’t prep for everything and forever but if you have at least enough basics to last even a month, you’re ahead of most. Everyone can stash a month’s worth of stuff to start with and then build on that.
And where would you go that wouldn’t be safe for more that a few months at best. And what would you do to survive once you got there? And how do you know that they would let you stay?
We have multiple types of food stored up but we also have seeds and are experimenting with raised bed and container gardening. Eventually whatever you have will run out. You need a renewable form of food. With us its chickens, maybe a couple goats and veggies/fruit.
Just like in a SHTF situation fat will not be a bad thing.
That may have worked for those that could obtain the gold; those who left (even legally) weren’t allowed to take much with them. You also had the cases (like Anne Frank’s family) where they fled Nazism and settled in neighboring (free) Holland - only to have the Nazis show up later.

Y2K!
You can be prepped to the hilt but if you live in LA, NYC or NOLA you will have a hard time.
You want to locate in a red or purple state in the reddest county you can find, in a rural setting far from any urban areas or projects.
You’re correct Johnny,
I had been prepping for a retirement exploring Arizona .
It seems with a World
spinning out of control and Our Nation leading the pack ,
our Only real salvation is The Savior .
