Did you know that in Ireland people don't have parades and stuff. St Patrick's Day is celebrated at home with family.

And they watch two family movies - "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" and "The Quiet Man."

I know a traditional Irish Catholic family that all go to church on St.Patty’s day....

Sounds not much different from how I handle holidays now. I don’t bother watching holiday parades on TV. I felt some time ago that they were pretty much a bunch of business advertising anyways. By parades, I mean the really big ones that appear on national television during the holidays. Later events further added to my reason for not watching parades on national television.
