Will on Orwellian Email Scandal: The Clintons Could Find a Loophole in a Stop Sign
March 8, 2015
On Fox News Sunday earlier today, George Will had fierce words for both Clintons in the wake of this weeks revelations about Hillary Clintons use of a private email server in her time as secretary of state. Its axiomatic that the worst political scandals are those that reinforce a pre-existing, negative perception,
Will said. The Clintons come trailing clouds of entitlement and concealment and legalistic, Jesuitical reasonings the kind of people who could find a loophole in a stop sign. Her obvious motive was to conceal. You conceal in order to control.

“The Clintons Could Find a Loophole in a Stop Sign”
That would depend on what the definition of “is” is, most likely.
Gonny be interesting to see what The Party comes up with now that they’re officially jettisoning the Queen Bee.
There is a loophole in a stop sign - the “O”.
Secondly, we all find loopholes in stop signs on occasion - if you go by the letter of the law which is to come to a “full and complete stop”. Many of us slow down, check to note the coast and clear and then move on through without actually coming to an all-the-way stop.
I don’t think George Will used a good example.
So, in other words, Will nailed it.
Apparently, there are long gaps in the Clinton email record. She has already deleted everything that might be evidence of her guilt.
“She has already deleted everything that might be evidence of her guilt.”
She learned that from observing Nixon’s mistakes.
They got Nixon for the coverup
But if the cops see you doing that you will be given a ticket. On the other, in the rare instances the Clintons are caught the cops stand back and cheer at their audacity.
I was referring to his tapes. They could not have impeached him without them. Everybody still wonders why he didn’t get rid of them.
Chris Wallace: “Do you ever get tired of cleaning up after the Clintons?”
What Lanny Davis was really saying: “I’m the Clinton’s favorite toilet brush, and I enjoy scrubbing away their $h!t.”
Tagline material.
Nope.
What do you mean by “nope”? Nixon’s own voice was used to convict him—the allegations would have been “she said, he said” without them and would have not held up in court. The tapes were called the “smoking gun”. He was caught on tape planning the cover-up.
And Slick Willie would hump it.
Nixon was never impeached.
I’m reminded of what Joe Sobran said about Bill back in the day:
Once again, his defenders, furiously attacking the prosecution and equating opposition with conspiracy, dont dare mount the best defense: Hes not that sort of man. Its because Clinton is, supremely, that sort of man that this whole thing has happened. Hes a lying lecher, a prevaricating pervert, an utterly slimy crook, without a trace of honor or loyalty, desperately trying to save his own skin one last time.
Same with Hillary. Do you hear ANYONE say “Hillary would never do such a thing?”
I wrote: “They could not have impeached him without them”
That is the conditional perfect tense. Goldwater understood that they could and would impeach him, so that is the reason he went to Nixon and told him to resign - no Republican would fight for him. Lost cause.
Hah — that is a great line.
So, in other words, Will nailed it.
I disagree. The Clintons would run the stop sign and then argue we didn't understand the nuance of their "stop" because we weren't brilliant enough like they are.
