They are not cowards. They support the regime agenda. They want their power, they believe the Constitution is irrelevant, and their only desire is to preserve their perks and privileges as the ruling class.
They are the Party, just like in Soviet Russia, or in Orwell's 1984. They have taken over our once free nation of laws, and ultimately they and their heirs will either rule for hundreds of years or they will be removed by the force of an outraged nation.
The tree of liberty will either get thirsty or will die altogether.
Indeed.
And one important point to add, the GOPers are perfectly comfortable not being in the majority, not being in power.
They prefer to play the role of “good cop” to the “bad cop” that is the DNC.
They are united by their goal: a ruling elite over a weakened country whose average prosperity is lower-middle class, who is enslaved by debt, who dreads resiting the tide of change for fear it will make things worse.
The feudal overlords and the serfs. That is want Marx wanted. That is what the wealthy industry barons who supported and funded the Bolshevik Revolution wanted.
It is what the GOPe and DNC want today.
