obama-as-king

Remember this. Remember it well, you liberal dumb**ses:

“What we’ve done is we’ve expanded my authorities under executive action and prosecutorial discretion..."

Let's repeat that:

“What we’ve done is we’ve expanded my authorities under executive action and prosecutorial discretion..."

Your support of this megalomaniacal dictator is going to have long lasting consequences.

“What we’ve done is we’ve expanded my authorities under executive action and prosecutorial discretion as far as we can legally under the existing statute, the existing law."
Prosecutorial discretion:
Prosecutorial discretion refers to the fact that under American law, government prosecuting attorneys have nearly absolute powers. A prosecuting attorney has power on various matters including those relating to choosing whether or not to bring criminal charges, deciding the nature of charges, plea bargaining and sentence recommendation. This discretion of the prosecuting attorney is called prosecutorial discretion.
I benefited from this once. Decades ago I was pulled over for allegedly running a red light. To this day I deny it. It was yellow and I will not ever be disabused of that concrete belief. I went to the prosecutor and talked to him about it. He asked me what happened and I gave him my version of the story. He then read the report claiming that traffic had begun to move. That was absolutely false. In any case, I convinced him and since I had no record of any kind he decided to nollie the ticket.

That is prosecutorial discretion. What Obama is doing is not prosecutorial discretion. It's failure to enforce existing law. I hope you'll be as compliant when a Republican President "expands" his authorities as well.

Prosecutorial discretion is meant for individual cases. Using "prosecutorial discretion" for 5 million is the nullification of law. And it doesn't stop there. In the bizarre world of Barack Obama, those sworn to uphold the law are threatened with "consequences" by the President of the United States should they dare enforce the laws of the United States.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Let's see where this can go:

Liberal dumb**ses will eagerly go along to the end. They think they are on the cutting edge of The Revolution (trumpets and roses here) and will cheer and march in the streets when it reaches that phase and will only stop cheering when it is their turn to be purged. Each thinks he is not one of the Children who will get eaten by the Revolution.

“They will not blame him, but someone else.”

***

True. A friend of mine who loves Obama was thrilled when she was able to procure a health care policy with some ridiculously low premium. We had had some arguments about Obamacare and she held up this new coverage as evidence of the king's benevolence.

Then she hurt her knee and the doctor sent her for several weeks of physical therapy. Then she got the bill — $1200 or something like that. My friend didn't realize that cheap health insurance came with a large deductible.

But you're right. She blamed the insurance company.

Prosecutorial discretion implies a good faith on the part of the executive and prosecuting authorities that there are not resources available to prosecute a particular crime, or that the needs of the court system require compromise on a charge. It does not come into play at all when used as a way to change the law. Intent is difficult to ascertain sometimes, and there are no doubt many situations where a prosecutor doesn’t like a law (like sodomy laws, for example) and refuses to prosecute them in toto. But this is an abuse of the principle, and Obama takes it 3 steps further, by not just refusing to prosecute, but issuing illegals work permits.

Fault no longer matters. If there is no general physical reaction then the Revolution will be accomplished and we are all just waiting to be re-educated or killed.

More than that- They have to realize that it is their hero who is doing it to them. Most will never understand. They will just eat up the propaganda that it is all because of the Wrecking and Anti People resistance of the Far Right and the Christians. When the Enemies of the People are finally dealt with then Utopia will arrive.

Of course the stock market is booming because all other investments are dead because the economy is dead. So they are playing the Greater Fool game in the stock market because that is all there is.

All that FED new money that was shoveled into the banks was shoveled right into the NYSE because there is not much demand for loans. When the balloon pops all that money doesn’t disappear. It flows into eggs and tomatoes and cars and everything else we buy. Prices might go up a little bit.

Yep.

It is truly extraordinary how the political discourse has devolved to the extent you described.

It’s everywhere. The conservative message or even the truth is virtually never considered once the “source” of the message is defined as conservative.

When we oppose a particular 0bama/Dem plan or law, the conversation is never about the details of the proposal, because we actually read the thing, it becomes about “Who” is against it, not “What” we are against. It’s all very superficial.

We have been reduced, by the media and the Democrat party, to a culture that puts all of their faith in their leaders to tell them what to think. They defend themselves and their party by ridiculing the source of the opposition as their first line of defense. This has been soo successful over the years that the need to even go to a second line of defense rarely occurs.

In addition, we are now seeing a greater defense of people that are simply ignorant of the issues. Apparently they have the right to have their opinions considered even though they have no clue what they are talking about.

A “Brave New World”, indeed.

The liberal commenters in our local rag are all orgasmic about “net neutrality.” When confronted by the fact that NO ONE knows what’s in the new regulations and now 3 people (minus the 2 republicicans who didn’t vote for the regs) are in control of the entire internet they stammer and stumble and say “stop watching fox news you Koch brother corporatist.” The libs have no idea what’s in it. They just think “YAY, I get free internet and big mean Comcast can’t slow down and control the internet for more money.”

Uh Huh.

Let' see where this can go....

we're living in a dictatorship, that's where. And the fact that half the American citizenry is either apathetic or embraces it, is truly saddening.

Liberals are fine with a megalomanical dictator.

So long as he’s THEIR megalomanicial dictator.

And he gives them free sh*t.

I guess it’s OK to call the liberal dumbasses “liberal dumbasses” for voting for him, but it should also be shared with those who refused to vote against him because, “There’s no real difference”. It’s also sad that they still claim they were right as they ignore the 1001 things that would not have happened if Obama hadn’t been gifted with a second term. Plenty of blame to share ...

"……...a second line of defense rarely occurs."

And when that rare second line of defense does rear it's head, it's usually, "well, (fill in the Republican blank), did it first/too/worse so (fill in the Democrat blank) is justified".
