National Review editor Rich Lowry, Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo and several other prominent media personalities attended a private dinner with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in Manhattan on Wednesday night, sources at the event told the On Media blog on Wednesday.
The dinner, which took place at the 21 Club in Manhattan, was hosted by economists Larry Kudlow (of CNBC), Arthur Laffer, and Stephen Moore. The Washington Post's Robert Costa reported on the dinner earlier tonight, citing Walker's effort to court the GOPs anti-tax wing ahead of the 2016 Republican presidential primary. Kudlow, Laffer and Moore are all advocates for supply-side economics.
Roughly 60 people were in attendance, including: Rich Lowry and John Fund of the National Review; John Stossel and Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business Network, Bill Hemmer of Fox News; James Freeman of The Wall Street Journal editorial page; and Mort Zuckerman, the owner and publisher of the New York Daily News and the U.S. News & World Report. Our colleague Darren Samuelsohn was also in attendance.

Has he officially declared his candidacy for President in 2016?
A headline only POLITICO could come up with.
Totally twists out the financial nature of the PR effort.
That’s why they’re the Dems top mouthpiece.
Is Walker nuanced enough to pass the likes of the Harfengruber DC types?
Yest speaking of Obama meetings with media types is verboten.
Has anyone else? Its February
Its hardly like October 2011 when Palinistas where still claiming that Palin would quit FNC and immediate announce her candidacy.
Clearly those Iowa polls gave Walker the green light.
Scott walker is courting all the right conservative designers,
but he has to court the power brokers...
John Stossel isn’t a conservative.
Not a pretty thought, ugly in fact.
the one thing he is convincing many is that he could beat a Dem, and a Bush.
That is rising his boat
That same criteria would rule out a few favorites around here.
Maybe, but he isn't even close to being a Liberal.
Maria Bartiromo
Now that’s my idea of time well spent
I’d drink her bath water
But honestly this is a fiscal conservatism elite and one libertarian
FOX is in the tank for amnesty
Eff them
Except Maria of course
Got nothing against local homey Laffer
But Zuckerman sure hell is on social issues
A not red diaper baby Jewish rich guy
Cultural liberal
Somewhat fiscal conservative
Has to pretend to be Israel hawk even though he in 2008 supported most anti Israel president in history....worse even than Carter
Typical
He’s not one of us
He makes Kudlow look like a Bircher
Stossell is without question, a lefty on many of the fundamental issues.
His economic philosophy leans toward conservatism from what I’ve seen.
LOL, so?
John Stossel “Stossell is without question, a lefty on many of the fundamental issues.”
A libertarian is simply a conservative devoid of the desire or need to control everyone else.
That makes zero sense, a conservative is a conservative and a libertarian is a liberal that likes conservative economics.
To you maybe. Do you have other confessions about your lack of understanding of politics and basic humanity?
So you are going to double down on stupid and try to convince conservatives that being for gay marriage, abortion, drugs, open borders, and other anti-conservative positions is “conservative”.
I understand your politics and lack of humanity, very well.
Please just relax, sit back and mind your own business.
Your posts don’t make any sense.
But as far as Stossel goes, he is no conservative.
