And I do realize that the 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote.
It was a bad idea then and it is a bad idea now.
I dont have a problem with women voting in state elections. But given the federal governments constitutionally limited powers, unless our ancestors were not being taught about those limited powers, Im not sure why citizens wanted more voting control of the federal government as evidenced by both the 17th and 19th Amendments.
In fact, both amendments have caused the country much grief with respect to citizens abusing their voting power by voting for corrupt federal politicians who promise federal government programs based on constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.
