And Now, The Truth (Measles Outbreak)
Market-Ticker ^ | 2/14/15 | Karl Denninger

Posted on 02/14/2015 1:04:01 PM PST by Kartographer

Among the 110 California patients, 49 (45%) were unvaccinated; five (5%) had 1 dose of measles-containing vaccine, seven (6%) had 2 doses, one (1%) had 3 doses, 47 (43%) had unknown or undocumented vaccination status, and one (1%) had immunoglobulin G seropositivity documented, which indicates prior vaccination or measles infection at an undetermined time. Twelve of the unvaccinated patients were infants too young to be vaccinated. Among the 37 remaining vaccine-eligible patients, 28 (67%) were intentionally unvaccinated because of personal beliefs, and one was on an alternative plan for vaccination.

Illegals bring in most of the diseases, eg whooping cough.

Who says they don’t?

But the diseases only spread because liberal lunatics are scared of vaccination.

Well, it’s a gamble because there is no knowing if they are for whatever given Latin American country, if they are the vaccinated or the unvaccinated. The word “undocumented “ should ring a bell. But there’s no knowing if they are among the 89 percent who are vaccinated, or the minority who are not. Even more is that there’s more besides measles being brought in.

Quite frankly I agree with Christie, parents need to have input into the decision and benefits and risks must be weighed by them. But vaccinations against mealses and other diseases are safe and effective, and I hardly think that makes me a Nazi.

Everyone knows the end results of the Nazi, national socialists, so it serves as a reminder of the dangers of giving up rights for a sense of security. Vaccinations are not always safe, and are not always effective either. Government mandate is not the solution.

Here are some references for you to make your own conclusions. Please try to look past the site and author. Obviously, there would have to be rogue organizations which would allow opposition to post their researched documentation, similar, foundationaly, to even, Free Republic. It would not be prudent to, blindly, believe the CDC, just as most members of this site do not, blindly, accept what is reported on NBC, CNN and MSN.

Even moreso, how many are infected with HIV and progressed with the infection, because HIV compromises the immune system.

Why should we take steps against diseases we have eradicated within our borders when it would be so much easier just to keep it OUT.

and if it really was “caused” by illegals you’d think we’d’ve heard about some illegals getting sick.

No, we will hear absolutely nothing from this government about how many illegals might be sick with the diseases which have reappeared in the largest numbers in recent memory.

That’s right more people will catch the flu because there are so many strains out there and it is so easily transmitted among the general population. I think it’s impossible to vaccinate for all the possible strains out there. I read somewhere the last flu immunizations targeted the wrong strains and were like only 25 percent or something effective in preventing the flu.

People with weak immune systems need to be sure they understand what the risks and benefits are before they get the shots.

I believe a lot of the flu could be prevented if people just washed their hands more often and practiced better sanitation. Especially after exposure to public places. Be aware you are surrounded by people picking/blowing their nose, wiping their eyes, and coughing like a chain smoker every time you venture out into the public.

After shopping and handling grocery store baskets with baby poop and products on the shelf handled by other customers, I always wash my hands with sanitizer as soon as I get back to the car. It seems to help somewhat. Unfortunately I don’t know how many contagious people squeezed that Charmin I just bought and took home.

We have a lot of undocumented immigrants down here in Texas and I think that is why we are seeing more drug resistant strains of viral and bacterial diseases than normal. Some we have never seen here before and some we thought were no longer a threat like tuberculosis. And remember many of these immigrants work in the food service industry, so enjoy your meal the next time you eat out. Can you spell d-i-a-r-r-h-e-a. I thought you could.

Nope, I’m not too concerned about influenza, but I am more concerned about the unknown lurking out there. Remember these diseases always start with flu-like symptoms before the real disease is diagnosed and treated. In the meantime those infected are out wandering about in public places until quarantined. Ebola is an example.

Have a nice day. :)

My eldest son had such a serious reaction (fever that would not go away for a few days) to the MMR vaccine, the doctor chose not to give him another shot of a part of it. With the youngest, he skipped it altogether.

The reaction scared the doctor half to death, but I knew Jesus had our backs and that the shot would not touch him. The doc was fixing to put him in the hospital just when the fever broke. He was one sick kid.

I have had the flu many times and I always ended up with a bacterial infection like a sinus infection, bronchial infection. fortunately I never had pneumonia, but it is my understanding that is what most people actually die from after having the flu. The viral flu is over in about a week and that is when the bacterial infection takes over.

I am careful to never forget to get my flu shot in mid October and I have not had the flu since I have been doing that.

Even if one were to accept the data provided, there would not be enough data to determine the effectiveness of the vaccine.

The effectiveness of the vaccine has been firmly established over the past 40 years, and there are millions upon millions of humans around the world who are alive today simply because they received this vaccine.

Only the intentionally ignorant or the galatically stupid believe otherwise.

No, you are wrong. People who haven’t vaccinated are not from any certain political party.

When a large percentage of mothers in California believe the rantings of some idiot celebrity over the advice of professional medical providers, I would venture to guess that they are of a liberal persuasion rather than conservative. I could be wrong, but after 12 years in that state, it's clear which party produces moronic parents.

Yes, pneumonia is the killer of older people. Once it gets to an advanced stage our immune systems are too weakened to fight if off like when we were younger. I never ignore a cold or influenza and begin treating it as soon as the symptoms appear.

In my case, the flu shots don’t seem to help that much so I try to keep my immune system healthy through moderate daily exercise and good nutrition. I am way past my expiration date, so like Forest Gump I just keep moving and doing the things that I think are right for me. So far, so good, but time changes everything as we age.

‘...unvaccinated people spread measles and are a form of health hazard to small children.’

So what’s so wrong with contracting measles and then throwing it off?

If you’re vaccinated, then what are you worried about?

What needs to be done is to determine if the measles strain was from vaccines or if it was a wild strain. That will tell you the origins of where it originated. There is a test to determine this. Wisconsin is doing it for the few cases here that trucked up here from Illinois.

Because the media are sensationalists, and want to boast about things that are under our control (measles) rather than issues which aren’t, such as the flu, where thousands die despite receiving vaccinations.

Well, not much, because if you get sick despite vaccinations, like I was in the 1990s despite a booster and a shot, well, you are so unlikely to die and have serious complications that it’s not worth panicking over. I just wonder: if I got sick while vaccinated, does that sickness actually give me the ideal immunity that the vaccine did not?

“Sooner or later they will ‘accidently’ or on purpose bring some across even deadlier.”

I really think that was the point of bringing in all the so-called children from third world countries. Importing Ebola patients didn’t cause an epidemic so he tried another way. Yes, several children were killed with a flu or whatever it was that was brought in, but I think Obama is looking for the spread of something that will devastate the workforce plus get people looking to government for the solution.

He pretended to check them out medically, by somehow finding doctors and nurses for the illegals, while our veterans went without. But how thorough can a quick exam be? I never heard of blood tests being performed either. Color me cynical, but I think that was a scheme to waste money to put us more in debt plus to find which illegals had visible symptoms of something and send those to the more highly populated areas.

All to advance the Cloward-Pivan plan.
