Your response to the article was filled with exagerations and outright lies.
I searched the name of Pope Pius V and found nothing at all even close to what you wrote.
Hopefully most persons of knowledge are aware of the conflicts and violence that occurred during the 16-18th centuries in Europe over the Catholic vs. Protestant religions. Atrocities were committed on both sides. It does no good to try to pin all the bad behavior on one side or the other. Thankfully, such political persecution has come to an end, or at least the physical part of it.
Also, even with the abuses of the various Christian denominations against each other, they did not come even close to what Islam has and continues to do to its opponents.
They hate the infidel and the Jew more than they love their own children.
I just don’t understand how you can hate anything more than you love your own child. I would sacrifice everything I have, and beyond that my own life to protect my child.
I don’t hate many things in this world. I certainly don’t hate anyone who has done me wrong, to the degree the monsters hate.
I will never understand that degree of hatred.
"Any mention of the jihad against the Irish when moslem pirates carried off the entire population of Baltimore Ireland and enslaved them in Morocco?I believe this happened during the reign of King Charles I.
Sorry, no mention in the links I posted. Such a void illustrates just how unprepared our knowledge of jihad history against the West/non-believers/kuffar/infidel continues to be. Thank you for mentioning this.
Not content with attacking ships and sailors, the corsairs also sometimes raided coastal settlements, generally running their craft onto unguarded beaches, and creeping up on villages in the dark to snatch their victims and retreat before the alarm could be sounded. Almost all the inhabitants of the village of Baltimore, in Ireland, were taken in this way in 1631, and other attacks were launched against coastal villages in Devon and Cornwall. Samuel Pepys gives a vivid account of an encounter with two men who'd been taken into slavery, in his diary of 8 February 1661.
'...to the Fleece tavern to drink and there we spent till 4 a-clock telling stories of Algier and the manner of the life of Slaves there; and truly, Captain Mootham and Mr Dawes (who have been both slaves there) did make me full acquainted with their condition there. As, how they eat nothing but bread and water.... How they are beat upon the soles of the feet and bellies at the Liberty of their Padron. How they are all night called into their master's Bagnard, and there they lie.'
The very casualness of the account makes it clear just how commonplace unfortunates like Moontham and Dawes were in 17th-century Britain. Britons in later years have boasted that they 'never will be slaves,' but during these years they were enslaved all too often.
There is also this:
"Whilst, as Trevor-Roper says, the majority of European slaves delivered to the Arabs were Slavs, not all of them were. Indeed, the Vikings plundered all of western Europe to supply the markets of the Caliphate. Dublin, for example, established by the Vikings in Ireland, was a major slave market, with most of the captives bought and sold coming from Ireland and Britain."

"This is what Mohammedans deny with a passion, they claim that islam abolished slavery. Why they deny this is not so hard to figure out, those Mohammedans want to repeat their history.
Whilst the Arabs have been acknowledged as a prime force in the early usage of slaves from Africa, very little has been written about their usage of white slaves, whether they were part of the Russian slave trade or those kidnapped by Arab pirates. However, in recent years, the research of some authors brought this issue to light.
The origins of African slavery in the New World cannot be understood without some knowledge of the millennium of warfare between Christians and Mohammedans that took place in the Mediterranean and Atlantic and the piracy and kidnapping that went along with it. In 1627, pirates from the Barbary Coast of North Africa raided distant Iceland and enslaved nearly 400 astonished residents. In 1617, Mohammedan pirates, having long enslaved Christians along the coasts of Spain, France, Italy, and even Ireland, captured 1,200 men and women in Portuguese Madeira. Down to the 1640s, there were many more English slaves in Islamic North Africa than African slaves under English control in the Caribbean. Indeed, a 1624 parliamentary proclamation estimated that the Barbary states held at least 1,500 English slaves, mostly sailors captured in the Mediterranean or Atlantic.
Millions European Christians were kidnapped and enslaved by Mohammedans in North Africa between 1530 and 1780 -- a far greater number than had ever been estimated before.
One of the things that both the public and many scholars have tended to take as given is that slavery was always racial in nature -- that only blacks have been slaves. But that is not true, we cannot think of slavery as something that only white people did to black people. Slavery in North Africa has been ignored and minimized, in large part because it is on no one's agenda to discuss what happened.
The enslavement of Europeans doesn't fit the general theme of European world conquest and colonialism that is central to scholarship on the early modern era. Many of the countries that were victims of slavery, such as France and Spain, would later conquer and colonize the areas of North Africa where their citizens were once held as slaves. Maybe because of this history, Western scholars have thought of the Europeans primarily as "evil colonialists" and not as the victims they sometimes were.
Between 1580 and 1680. That meant about 8,500 new slaves had to be captured each year. Overall, this suggests nearly a million slaves would have been taken captive during this period. Using the same methodology, Davis has estimated as many as 475,000 additional slaves were taken in the previous and following centuries.
The result is that between 1530 and 1780 there were almost certainly 1 million and quite possibly as many as 1.25 million white, European Christians enslaved by the Muslims of the Barbary Coast.
Enslavement was a very real possibility for anyone who traveled in the Mediterranean, or who lived along the shores in places like Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, and even as far north as England and Iceland. From 1500 to 1650, when trans-Atlantic slaving was still in its infancy, more white Christian slaves were probably taken to the Barbary states than black African slaves to the Americas.
Pirates (called corsairs) from cities along the Barbary Coast in North Africa -- cities such as Tunis and Algiers -- would raid ships in the Mediterranean and Atlantic, as well as seaside villages to capture men, women and children. The impact of these attacks were devastating -- France, England, and Spain each lost thousands of ships, and long stretches of the Spanish and Italian coasts were almost completely abandoned by their inhabitants. At its peak, the destruction and depopulation of some areas probably exceeded what European slavers would later inflict on the African interior.
We have lost the sense of how large enslavement could loom for those who lived around the Mediterranean and the threat they were under," he said. "Slaves were still slaves, whether they are black or white, and whether they suffered in America or North Africa.
obama wants gays and liberals to be full blown islamic collaborators at the very least.
Obama loves the Dark Ages.
Good bye global trade when that area gets shut off again like happened in the Middle Ages.
The world is made of explorers/hunters, sheeps and poachers. The sheeps are being meant for the poachers these days and the hunters are condemned by the sheep for being “inhumane”.
Obama Claimed Islam is Peaceful and Christianity Violent at Event Attended by Muslim Regime that Killed Christians

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Lies are truth.
Barack Hussein Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast claimed that Islam is not violent, but that Christianity had a violent past. Meanwhile in attendance was the foreign minister of an Islamic regime that had massacred its Christians.
Human rights activists are assailing the Obama administration for the presidents appearance at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday with the foreign minister of Sudan, a country whose government is accused of genocide.
Did that Obola guy actually criticize US for riding a high horse? He who has never admitted doing anything wrong?
