I wonder if Mr. Gumbel hates legal gun owners, and the NRA, more or less than racially related gang-bangers and criminals with completely illegal guns and extensive criminal records?
It’s the typical “Let’s start with the low hanging fruit when we pass laws. Make Whitey do it first.” But, the side effect is enabling underclass predation.
“We got a problem over HERE with people who are criminals and disregard the law, so let’s pass a law make the people over THERE, who aren’t a problem at all, comply with the law, while not trying to enforce it on the people who were the problem in the first place.”
