:I would tend to agree with them. Peter Higgs, for the moment, seems to have nailed it. Symmetry was broken within a trillionth of a trillionth of a second after the big bang.

I find nothing new in this article that strengthens the AP. Meanwhile, evidence for the teleological argument grows stronger. I like the question asked in the movie Signs, “there are two kinds of people: those who see signs, miracles, and those who see coincidences. Which kind are you?” I see purpose all around me, every day.

Agreed. It amazes how pigheaded some scientists can be when they speak of the 'big bang'.

Was it Hubble that coined that phrase some 50 years ago? Yet the account of Genesis was written a LOT longer ago than that.

Lemme see...all energy and matter that ever was and ever will be compressed into a single point, infinitely dense...'explodes' in a blinding flash of light and energy.
Now where have I read something like that before....hmmm. Got it. Four words...a mere thought from the Creator...."Let there be light!"

Why do they think that the big bang and Genesis are so irreconcilable? I can understand the quest for a possible underlying mechanism. But to deny a greater purpose, a greater Mind behind it? Seems odd.
