Rest in Peace Brave Airmen, you now are with your brothers of the sky as it should be. Earth is a less by your passing but the sky is far enhanced by your presence. May the winds flow gently beneath your wings as do the winds beneath angels and righteous warriors of the sky and ye are both.

I worked for Ace Lawson in the very early 1960’s (1960-1961) when I was stationed at RAF Chicksands England. He was a Master Sergeant or Senior Master Sergeant at the time. He retired to California (Los Angeles area) when he left England. I had heard that he passed away in 1995 from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was a great man and loved by all of us young troops that worked for him. He used to enjoy picking up old cars and fixing them up. I bought a 1935 Singer Le Mans from him. He used to regale us with his wartime stories. I never did try to look him up as I remained in the AF until 1979. I regret that I never tried to contact him during my time in service and afterward. God bless him and may he rest in peace.
