For 100 years, the federal government has usurped powers not delegated to it in our Constitution.
What should we do about it? Should we reclaim our existing Constitution and put an end to the usurpations?
Or should we modernize the Constitution by changing it so as to delegate to the federal government the powers it has usurped so as to legalize what is now unconstitutional?
Mark Levin begins The Liberty Amendments by saying he doesnt believe the Constitution requires modernization through amendments. But he then proposes a series of amendments, six of which modernize our Constitution to delegate to the federal government most of the powers it has usurped during the last 100 years.

It’s good that there are critics in every debate. Criticism causes one to strengthen and fortify their underlying argument.
But in this case, from Post #9, I have clearly seen some very ‘confused’ thinking to put it politely.
This guy Huldah actually thinks the Founders controlled the budget by spending only in association with enumerated powers. And the first thing to ask, well what if Congress decides to spend 1000% of its tax revenues on the military? I may not have a problem with it depending on the circumstances. But it is ludicrous to think enumerated power spending provides for ‘control’ of spending.
Whereas Mark Levin suggests in one of the Liberty Amendments that Congress balance their budget or limit themselves to spending a certain percentage of GDP which has historically been between 15% and 20% (now about 25%).
Because an amendment that writes the word ‘percentage’ of GDP cannot be monkeyed around with like the phrase “provide for the General Welfare”. Percentage of GDP can still be abused as the definition and computation of GDP can be stretched to some political end, but that can be addressed and accounted for.
So Huldah appears to be not even a third rate critic. He wouldn’t even make the farm team in the minor leagues because his assertions are ludicrous. He’s an embarrassment to Conservatism.
where are those two in the constitution?
Your guess is incorrect.
Lol!
Maybe Poli Sci is good undergrad training for law school. But I wouldn’t brag about it. I can’t think what else it would be good for.
Law school requires a steel trap memory, an above average analytical mind and superior writing skills involving critical thinking. I doubt that Poli Sci is the best preparation for law school. History, Logic, Philosophy, Writing are probably superior preparation majors for law school.
the founding fathers did
i don't need your permission to be a lemming or anything else
still waiting for your solution - because levin’s (going nowhere) is getting more buzz than yours
those not part of SOME solution can sleep on if and when a solution comes
--Winston Churchill.
The country is split ideologically with the two sides being mutually exclusive. Individual liberty cannot coexist with socialism. A physical divide is inevitable as it is logical.
more likely than YOU having georgia withhold its gasoline taxes - it seems
are you some kinda militia nut? start ‘cwii’ - go ahead - charge congress with your guns - instead of shooting holes in the attempts of others - logoff and lead
next guess
militia nut
How many time do I have to say the 10th amendment? But hey you let me know how the Article V thing works out. Maybe you are so pizzed because it has no chance of working. LOL! Talk to Mark not me.
Stick to the thread topic.
Let me know before you storm congress.
what is step 1 of the ‘tenth amendment’?
bingo
sloop nailed it
James Madison wrote of parchment barriers. They don't work. A senate of the states enforced the 10th amendment until 1913. Without a senate of the states, there is no interest to enforce the 10th.
As a poly-sci whiz, I'm sure you know that.
she is just a malcontent that wants to complain
and a militia nut
hope homeland security is monitoring her
eh - no need - she is all talk
Your imaginings are of no interest to anyone but you. Please stick to the thread topic.
if levin is so wrong - we will need a solution
that author makes tons of declarations that are outright false - we have discredited his little blog
