I am almost certain it is true.
It’s also not the first time such an attack has occurred at that fraternity house.

_____________
There is no question that there have been rapes at frat houses. The question is whether this particular story is true. It has many holes. It doesn’t stand up to the bull test.
This account reads like a cheap dirty novel, and indeed has many of the tropes of a rape fantasy.
But aside from that, there are numerous inconsistencies within the story - e.g. rush is in the spring, not the fall, no member of the fraternity was ever a lifeguard, woman raped for 3 hours by 9 men on a floor covered with shards of glass and she (and they) don't require medical attention, she is left alone and neither threatened nor prevented from gathering evidence or calling the police on her cell phone, she is able to identify 2 of her attackers in a pitch dark room, and not one but 3 friends keep her from going to the hospital because they might not be invited back to the fraternity?
And the accuser apparently had a strong motivation to concoct a story - several posters report she was about to flunk out of school. Reminiscent of Crystal Mangum avoiding involuntary commitment by spinning her Duke Lacrosse tale. And the University has been trying to get rid of fraternities for some time, and this tale surfaces just as the Obama administration is launching an anti-rape campaign?
So, no, in the absence of any corroborating evidence (or immediate outcry), a certain skepticism is warranted here.
