Any day now, I am expecting to turn on the tube and see an ad that says, More Americans get their TV news from Fox than anywhere else..
Whether that pleases or horrifies you, its time to think seriously about what that says about Fox, CNN, MSNBC, the state of network news today and the role TV plays or doesnt play in providing us with reliable, trustworthy information.
Much of the media establishment seems bent on ignoring the incredible ratings success of Fox News. Or, maybe its just that Fox has pounded CNN and MSNBC in the ratings for so long that another victory doesnt seem like news especially with MSNBC imploding and CNN committing to any genre but news in an effort to find new audiences.

Fox News: 6.6 million overall (1.8 million 25 to 54)
CBS: 5.4 million (1.5 million)
NBC: 4.2 million (1.5 million)
ABC: 3.1 million (1.1 million)
CNN: 1.9 million (912,000)
MSNBC: 1.6 million (566,000)
I know FOX isn't perfect and I hear plenty of complaints here on FR about FauxNews, etc.
I know Bechtel and Juan Williams are pains in the rear to listen to.
But the thing is; a reliably more conservative news network is emerging as the leader, and the drivebys don't like it one... darn ...bit.
You will see increased efforts by the Obamunists to shut Fox down. Frankly they are now the only independent source of news—the rest are controlled by Obama and the Dems, especially as the Atkinsson stories are showing.
With the caveat that I can no longer view FNC.
My impression has been is that FNC is not so much conservative, as it is not as obviously left biased as the other guys. And the absence of that strong left bias, makes FNC look conservative.
Maybe FNC really is “fair and balanced” eh?
oh, coming from the liberal city of Baltimore? That is going to get some panties in a bunch.
I wouldn’t even call them conservative outside the editorial commentary shows. Its just that in a world where all other news is blatantly hard left, anything with any kind of balance appears right leaning.
I had to completely turn off FOX news today. They’ve gone “Johnny-one-note about Fergistan and I’ve heard enough of Juan, Bob, Geraldo, and every ghetto “reverend” demanding “Justus” for a while. They’re almost as bad as CNN was about the missing plane.
I do get the majority of my news here on FR, but you have to admit some of FOX’s info-babes are easy on the eyes...
Since Fox News is approved of by the masses, and the message of MSNBC is most disapproved of,
that proves the superiority of the liberal worldview of MSNBC.
The polls/news media and most politicians have missed the “mood” of the US.....
They just dont get it.
As Joe Friday-Dragnet used to say, I just want the facts, ma’am. The alphabet lame media sold out to liberal land. Sorry they lose.
I’ve also had enough of Fox News today.
I’m sitting in silence.
Likely I’ll watch “stored” Blue Bloods.
We need Sharyl to replace the drama queen Smith!
Fox News is still amateur hour after all these years on breaking news. They broke away into repeats with Ferguson last night while CNN and MSNBC still were covering it live. Their divas want to get some sleep and they refuse to pay for a 2nd tier crew.
FOX provides a forum(Bully Pulpit) for extreme leftists all under the guise of being “fair and balanced.” I note that the leftists presented by FOX always manage to express repeatedly their talking points-often talking over the host. The host could report the leftist view without the necessity of insulting our ears and quite often our eyes.
And they believe their own BS polls, too! I think zero and Biden really DID think they’d keep the Senate!
They’re beating the three main networks also?
What station did you watch last night from the time got home? I put FOX on. And it stayed there, and each hour was better, with the exception perhaps of Hannity. But, I don’t think twice about the channel, and this has been this way for years now.
Fox News: 6.6 million overall (1.8 million 25 to 54) CBS: 5.4 million (1.5 million) NBC: 4.2 million (1.5 million) ABC: 3.1 million (1.1 million) CNN: 1.9 million (912,000) MSNBC: 1.6 million (566,000)Equals:
6.6 million right-of-center or centerist viewers.
16.1 million leftist viewers.
I think this is 100% accurate - and will therefore, of course, never be understood by the rest of the lib media.
Madagascar 2 comes on at 5 on FX.. funniest animated film ever. Most politically incorrect, too.
