Senator Ted Cruz on the Kelly File
Obama policies were on the ballot and there was a referendum.
This last election had two issues - Obamacare and Amnesty.
Megyn Kelly: if you shut the government down or impeach the president, so what do you plan to do.
Ted Cruz: Congress should use the constitutional authority. 1. Senate Majority leader, if you disregard the law, the senate will not confirm a single nominee.
2. Power of the purse - in Jan. systematically funding one dept after another, and pass appropriations with riders.
Start with funding Defense. Then when we get to DHS, we include a rider.

She declares that the law says the president gets to do what he wants if the house doesn’t do it for him.
I total agree with Ted’s strategy outlined above, but I wish he’d not pushed this last year with the whole budget - politically, we played into the RATs hands. The GOP now has cold feet.

It was a good interview, but I cringed when he mentioned “immigration reform.” No, Ted, I don’t want reform. I want enforcement.

There was a lot going on last year, so this is only about the funding.
Last year Ted Cruz did want each department funded by sending separate bills through.
At the time, it was said this was the correct way to do it, but Harry Reid was the problem.
Something a lot of people do not realize is that because the budget was not done for the last 5 or 6 years, the entire stimulus funding was done every year. Talk about slush fund....
This is why each department needs to have a separate funding bill.
and hide Air-Force 1. Maybe they can fly it to some desolate area, maybe Area 51(where many Dem’s probably come from). then someday Obama will wake up and say, Yo, wad happen to my plane?

2. Whether Senate removes Obama or not is irrelevant to the case for impeachment which is based on congress doing its duty when high crimes and misdemeanors have been committed

Andy McCarthy in one interview said that impeachment is political - it has to have the political will of the people.
