Anyone who will kill a living thing that can't defend itself is dangerous. This is not apples and oranges. How a society protects any defenseless living thing says a great deal about that society.
And I’ll bet that if I put a bullet proof vest on my dog, I would be prosecuted for “Potentially Subverting Police Self Protection”, or some such nonsense.
I wonder if I should have it say DOG, in big white letters?
The fact that slaughtered dogs evoke a much stronger emotional response in most Americans says volumes about culture and values. Revealing and interesting.
