My first vanity, but I thought this was funny.
My wife and I went to vote today. While looking at the race for Texas senator... I wanted to send a message. Unlike the other races, this one offered the possibility for a write in vote. Cornball was going to win without my vote, so I proudly wrote in Ted Cruz... It was a spur of the moment idea, but it seemed perfect.
As we walked back to the car, I mentioned to my wife that I had done a write-in vote. Before I could tell her who or what, she remarked... "Me too, I wrote in Ted Cruz for senator".
I hope you are kidding about this. If it made you “feel good” to do this, how are you going to feel if a democrat gets in and we don’t take back the senate? Will you still feel good then?
I don’t like Wishy Washy Coryn either but he will go with the flow and a dem in his place won’t.
I have called Senator Cornyn’s office twice this month. The second time his staffer was very sweet, but I felt like I was being fed the same line (in Texas, line = bs) that our President has been feeding us. The staffer told me that people from Sierra Leone and Liberia fly through Europe to get to the USA so that it would be almost impossible to stop them from coming to the USA. What? I thought that was why governments give or deny a VISA. I also told the staffer that Cornyn does not have passion. It is sad when a Republican Senator from Texas could be confused with a Democrat.
Ummm, the current Dallas to Houston train project people not only are 100% privately funded, they say they will refuse any government funds. And they don’t actually need government funds - they’re the same people running bullet trains in Japan, which is practically a license to print money.
I suspect you didn’t read Ann’s post. She correctly points out that such behavior is equivalent to voting for Harry Reid. Is that what you want?
Harry Reid would be proud of you.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton |
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |
Where are YOU going to draw the line?!
You quotation from Ronald Reagan applies to in-fighting within the party. President Reagan had a standing rule to not attack fellow Republicans publicly. In a national election we need to close ranks.
Do you really want Harry Reid in charge? Yes or No will suffice!
If you are going to use the foxhole analogy, remember that the guy you pick for the foxhole shoots the enemy “most of the time”.
I’d rather go it alone than wonder where every fifth bullet the rino shoots is going to go.
No.
Question for you. How much can a republican act like Harry before you draw the line?
I agree!!
Thank you, that is correct. Reagan also said “don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good”. As I stated I don’t like Coryn either but the time to get rid of him is in the primary not the general election.
Good Reagan quote Ditter, thank you.
People like McConnell and Cornyn are the enemy of the good.
Then get rid of them in the primary election.
They have fixed the primaries in too many states and in others they use the power of incumbency and those who say “Don’t rock the boat” to keep people in line
The primary is still the place to fight them.
You had ONE bullet and you shot US.....you HELPED the ENEMY!!!!You did something SO dumb, as I said, Ted Cruz would want to take you to the woodshed.
Not kidding Ditter. Cornyn does not care about the interests of Texans and is opposed to everything Senators like Cruz stand for. Have talked to him in person a number of times and refuse to support or vote for him. Regardless of whether Republicans take over the senate or not, he will be at the front of the line to support a full blown amnesty and vehemently opposes a closed border. He also does not support ending Obamacare. There was absolutely no philosophical reason for me to support him.
