A retired Marine in Maryland is paying the price for honoring a fellow Marine who fell in combat.
Heath Silcot was part of the detail escorting Staff Sergeant David Stewart to his final resting place.
Riding with other former Marines, Silcot crossed the Bay Bridge. Someone asked one of the officers about tolls and they said, I cant imagine them giving us a toll; were not gonna stop, he said.
Maryland Transportation Authority sent Silcot a $9 toll for crossing the bridge. When Silcot disputed the ticket, they gave him another $50 ticket for missing their deadline for him to pay the original fee.

Never get between a liberal and his money machine!!!
Best answer ever.
Unreal.
Funeral processions were once respected and honored.
I guess the toll trolls don’t like Marines?
There hasn’t been a tax or toll that the Maryland goberment doesn’t love.
Best of luck Marine!
Maryland doesn’t really give a $hit if you are veteran. Only if you support taxes, redistribution of wealth, welfare, and of course odumbo.
Year ago I was riding in a procession across Maine with the casket of a hero. As we went through each town, the intersections were blocked off and the local law enforcement stood erect at the corner and saluted as the car with the family went by.
Until we got to the People’s Republic of Augusta. At each corner the slovenly officers stood casually, slouching while they boredly held off the traffic. It was a stark contrast.
The Toll Trolls don’t care who or what you are. You cross, you pay.
It’s not personal; it’s business.
I think some one(s) will be offering to pay for that 59 buckeroos.
Flux Maryland— they ripped me off for a .75 cents toll I paid but the green light never came on after I threw the change in. That plus its now $8.00 toll north on the I-95 for the privilege of a few miles. Not enough middle fingers to salute that Rat controlled state.
Yeesh!
Wouldn’t pay them a dime. Does marine live in state? I’d rip the ticket up on video spitting on it with fellow marines with a picture of the fallen hero, and say something like “We buried him the day you gave me this ticket, communist pigs.”
Post it to YouTube. We do not have to take this tyranny any longer. The only way to stop it is to push back. Not violently. But with enough force that they will know if they cross that line we will defend ourselves and we will always be the ones to win that fight.
I got pulled over and ticketed in Minneapolis in my Grandmothers funeral procession. I was following everyone else. Cop got me for going 1 MPH over the speed limit. Of course I was the only one with out of state plates.
Welcome to Maryland, “The ‘Fxxk You!’ State” ...
(Maryland native; crossed the river a long time ago, when it became intolerable.)
Just a question: Did others in the party have to pay the toll?
To me, this is the big question. If everyone else paid and this guy decided he didn't have to, that's one thing, and he should pay, but if this guy was singled out and everyone else got a pass, it's a completely different story.
So, does anyone know the whole story?
“WHAT WAR-MONGERING MASS MURDERERS ARE THESE TRIP-TRAPPING ACROSS MY BRIDGE??”
—MTA bridge troll.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Seems weird. If he was singled out yeah, but .....
Why on earth is this even newsworthy?
A ticket? So what !.
