Yep,

I’m reading “Mao: The Unknown Story”.

Up to 1953 (it covers from before his birth to his death).

Seeing many similarities with bo and mrs. bo.

I’m glad he died when he did and didn’t go on for a 5th term.....”

My dear Mother, born in 1912 was a walking history book, same as you, we were taught history every day. She said in the early 60’s to me one day that “if FDR hadn’t died, he’d STILL be president”!!! She also taught us that the only reason you didn’t vote - ESPECIALLY in primaries - is because you were dead. Well - the Dems didn’t even let that stop em, huh?

That is exactly why congress voted the 2 term limit. ugh.

I try to teach my children, now my grandchildren about history. My kids know all about Jane Fonda and what horrors she did, Bill Ayers, et al.

Very interesting article.

My eyes were opened to FDR many years ago, in part by a matter of fact comment by British journalist Alistair Cooke, who summed up the New Deal as American’s period of National Socialism.

The communists never give up. Amazing read! Nothing new under the sun indeed.
I must say that seeing people fawn and cry over FDR was scary and disgusting to see.

Ann Barnhardt, in my opinion, is brilliant. I’ve been reading her column/blog for a few years. I enjoy reading her as much as I enjoy reading Chesterton or Belloc. Her love of the Catholic Church and truth is inspiring.

She’s mentioned a few times that she may stop writing. I hope she continues, her insight, passion and style speaks very clearly to me. We need more Ann Barnhardt’s today, she is a rare commodity.

Good your kids know the truth. Too many people are taught that FDR was a great president.

Back in the fifties, my mother called Montgomery Ward “Monkey Ward.”

My mother always said one of the worst things that ever happened to the country was when they air-conditioned the Capitol. (Which happened in 1934.) Congress used to flee Washington in April and not come back until October. In the really early days, they actually feared malaria.

Now we have both Malaria and Sharia in Washington.

Wasn’t it old stinky Harry Reid that barked that the “visitors smell......” in the summer?

Well you are right! They should NOT use the AC you know - like - ahem... to save energy. Go Green.
