My mother always said one of the worst things that ever happened to the country was when they air-conditioned the Capitol. (Which happened in 1934.) Congress used to flee Washington in April and not come back until October. In the really early days, they actually feared malaria.
Now we have both Malaria and Sharia in Washington.
Wasn’t it old stinky Harry Reid that barked that the “visitors smell......” in the summer?
