'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before': Outraged family eyes lawsuit...
The London Daily Mail ^ | October 9, 2014 | Josh Gardner and Michael Zennie and Laura Collins In Dallas, Texas

Posted on 10/08/2014 11:24:48 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

* Thomas Eric Duncan died at 7:51am on Wednesday after receiving no potentially lifesaving blood transfusion or ZMapp

* Five other Ebola patients treated in the U.S. are either cured or in the process of being treated

* Doctors began giving Duncan an experimental antiviral drug on Monday, but it was too late

* Hospital announced 'with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment' that Duncan died after 'fighting courageously against the insidious disease'

* Duncan exposed 48 people to the disease before he was hospitalized, including his fiancée and two of her children

* His condition took a turn for the worse this weekend and by Tuesday he was unresponsive and medically sedated

* His body still carries the disease and must now be disposed of

* CDC rules call for his remains to be wrapped in a plastic shroud and zipped up in two leak-proof bags then cremated

The family of Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan are venting their outrage that the late Liberian may not have received the same quality of care leading up to his death Wednesday morning as other patients treated in the U.S. for the dreaded virus.

'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before. This is the first time,' Duncan's furious nephew Joe Weeks told ABC.

Weeks and others in Duncan's family are calling his treatment 'unfair,' after seeing other patients pulled from the brink of death in government funded evacuation planes and using life-saving blood transfusions and cutting edge drugs...

Someone should tell them that the EVIL WHITE CHRISTIAN, Franklin Graham, PAID for the ZMAPP given to the Samaritan people, out of his own (the org’s) pocket.

I’m SURE they could have come up with the ONE MILLION DOLLARS for a dose, doncha think?

And Mr. Duncan and his family will pay how much for his treatment?

Seems they want to be paid, not pay.

To those considering a lawsuit: No one had died of Ebola in the US before, correct. There had never been a case of infection in the wild in the US before Mr. Duncan flew here, either, with his likely knowing he was infected.

Rage and complain and make all the demands you want, you can’t name another country that would have done better by him.

And, if you want to talk damages, by all means. Let’s talk about the expense incurred not just for treating Mr. Duncan but the decontamination, dislocation, other potentially infected individuals directly traceable to Mr. Duncan and the ongoing economic costs associated with all the above.

After weighing all the considerations, I’m sure we can work out some sort of repayment schedule for you.

I was wondering who they are going to sue as well, but have they played the race card yet? I am sure if they don't, some libtard will.

Duh, no idiot has brought it to US shores other than the idiot in the white hut and Duncan.

Lunacy. A Blood transfusion would have been a waste of the donated blood.

ZMAPP is not a guaranteed “Cure”, and is likely only useful in the initial stages of infection.

A significant attempt was supposedly undertaken to save his life from an aggressive virus that kills the majority of those infected with this virus, but due to what was killing him, the attempt did not succeed.

A lawsuit is a waste of time and resources, but I have no doubt that unscrupulous lawyers will successfully extract some settlement from cowardly defenders who would rather not face bad “PR”, which is a shame since such an absurd lawsuit should be laughed out of any sane court in this country.

Honestly, this is just another step towards an inevitable Second Civil War that MUST occur to stop the insanity gripping this country and fueled by ambulance chasing lawyers (from this context). There a many more vectors directing us towards National internal conflict, but this vector is a significant one, IMO.

China would flat out sent them the bill plus taxes compounded daily. When they could’nt/ would’nt pay, no problem. Take the family into custody and allow them to work off a portion of the debt while incarcerated as a work crew on a hog farm.

They’ll try suing the hospital for turning him away the first time. Unfortunately, the hospital lawyers will advise settling if only to stop the publicity and make them go away. Of course, the next million US patients will have that extra expense added into their bills. Bottom line, we’ll be paying them.

This is known as the "Jesse Jackson effect." Where ever Jesse Jackson goes, baseless lawsuits are sure to follow. What percentage is Jesse demanding?
