Not too many people eating monkey meat in Europe or the US.
It's not just eating monkey meat. I used to think that's what they meant by "bushmeat".
Then I did some research.
It's far worse than that. "Bushmeat" means any kind of animal, and they're not particularly particular about whether they kill it, or just find it dead in the bush. Either way it goes on the grill. It's the difference between squirrel hunting, and picking up dead squirrels (and possums, and 'coons, and groundhogs, and can't-identify-it) off the side of the road.
