The good thing about “experts” is that the ones who graduated are right at least 70% of the time.

must be sarcasm. I did not see a quick or robust response by a public health system. I saw 2 guys with a power washer 3 days after the patient was seen the second time and finally admitted.

“Over the next year, there will be more people in Dallas killed by lightening than Ebola.”

That’s not relevant. People aren’t afraid of dying. People are afraid of living through the horrific symptoms of Ebola before they die.

"Over the next year, there will be more people in Dallas killed by lightening than Ebola."

And you actually believe what you just wrote?

I realize that Federal Trolls are currently tasked with selling the "Ebola is just a cold, and isn't contagious..." Big Lie, but don't you think this is just a little bit evil?

Oh, that's right, as a good Fed, moral judgements and the truth are above your paygrade...

That is possibly true, but lightning bolts don’t shoot out of 747’s to kill innocent Americans!

What we need are some IT guys who are experts at risk assessment, not untrained medical experts giving opinion. Someone needs to do a comprehensive risk assessment of every point off entry, and the risk of each avenue of spreading.

The greatest risk is studity -- those who are ignorant of how the disease spreads or just don't care. Being that voters appearantly elected an anti-American pro-muslim President twice, threre's a lot of stupid people out there. Once this thing gets into the public there's the potential for it to spread far and wide with devastating consequences.

One principle of risk management, is that unlikely but severe risks must be addressed. There is no comfort in saying an Ebola pandemic is unlikely. What needs to be said is that an Ebola pandemic is impossible because [list reasons here].

Maybe, but I know I can protect my family from Ebola, I may not be able to protect them lightening, car crashes, terrorism, etc.

Please be calm. All is well. Ignore that man be hind the curtain, because I am the Great and Powerful Oz.

With all this Ebola panic and disease going around, I don’t think we’re in West Africa any more, Toto.
