BS and strawman argument. It isn’t the conservatives are looking for purity, we are looking for a CONSERVATIVE not the liberal and moderates like Romney pretending to be conservative. I left the GOP over Romney because he was just a white and delightsome Obama. We aren’t demanding a pure candidate at all, the GOP keeps throwing up moderate losers. Don’t blame us, blame the GOP.

The Siren Song of the GOP-E.

We’re not as bad as the other guys, of course, we don’t agree with your Foundational Principles, and we surely won’t do a thing to fight for them, but hey, we have an ‘R’ next to our name and we will do things a little slower than the Democrats.

Vote for Us!

Purity, no. But the GOP has to at least field candidates that are significantly more conservative than the Dems, and who possess a certain minimum level of conservatism or there is not point. If you vote for them, your only reward is that you get a Democrat who happens to have an R after his name. McCain vs. Obama for example. Romney vs. Obama maybe a little less so but still. But yes, demanding an abaolutely perfect candidate is a recipe for disaster.

95 percent of Republicans are not real conservatives and are moving this oountry in the same direction as the Democrats, except at a different speed.

RINO’s are the ones on the warpath against conservatives in the GOP, all this “don’t look for purity” crap is just a smoke screen.

There is no such thing as an Extreme Conservative.

There are Conservatives, and those on the left who desire to mis-label conservatives as part of their propaganda.

… I am figuring it may take the unrelenting efforts of a few generations to make a dent in the hard left wall of iron with which we are faced. It will take a long, continuous effort, to send our country back to the original recipe it was governed under since the writing of the United States Constitution in 1787 …
Really? How long did it take the Founding Fathers to establish it? It was not “a few generations”.
The Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia was a radical act in itself. To be honest, the framers of the Constitution exceeded their mandate. They tossed aside the rule of law to protect the rule of law
No they sure did not. They rose up against the rule of man to re-establish the rule of law.
Don’t give America to the hard left liberal progressive commie bastard democrats because you can’t find purity in the Republican Party. The GOP may be a mess, but if you are in a horse race, you don’t shoot your horse in the head because he’s not running the way you want him to. … (response to Nathan)
Gibbs says his oath is to God, but it sure looks like he has more faith in the “horse” of the GOP than in God. And we are not in a horse race. But Mr. Gibbs prefers to rail against so-called “extreme conservatives” instead (as liberals do), never mind mischaracterize what was done in the Constitutional Convention. (I wonder if Gibbs also hates the Declaration of Independence?)
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Proverbs 28:1
Yet Gibbs’ faith is in the liberal, hypocritical GOP.

I’m a purist in spirit too, but if our choices are strong active communist with agenda or right of center but limp wristed and weak, we owe it to the country to hang on to some small hope of not steadily losing the US of A. So I’ll vote against the socialist. Maybe I’m just jumping from a burning tower into nothingness but the flames behind me are sure destruction.

Read the article, basicly it is another "vote GOP-e now and fix it later."

If the GOP-e gets your vote now there is no motivation for them to change anything.

They need to share the pain and right now the American Citizens that still have common sense and both eyes open are hurting.

Conservatives just want to see GOPe candidates like Thad Cochran pull votes from Black Democrats to win without TEA party voters. If they can do it, we can kiss the Republican Party goodbye and get busy forming our own. That’s not “extreme,” just realistic.

Conservatives don’t have a problem with candidates who favor an incremental return to limited constitutional government. The GOPe however isn’t even willing to halt the growth of government but insists on less freedom.

Why don’t these people send their time trying to explain American culture to young people instead of yelling at conservatives?
