Conservatives just want to see GOPe candidates like Thad Cochran pull votes from Black Democrats to win without TEA party voters. If they can do it, we can kiss the Republican Party goodbye and get busy forming our own. That’s not “extreme,” just realistic.

This is an interesting strategy. Before committing to it, however, I have a couple of question. Will this new party compete under the same rules that require winning a majority of the votes cast in order to gain elective office? If we have to win a majority from the total electorate, including democrats, how do we accomplish that when we can't win a majority in the republican party?
