I’ve watched all three games and I think one thing is very obvious. The Royals really, really want this. They’re excited to be there. They have confidence in their abilities. They’re not intimidated. For the A’s and the Angels they play like it’s just another game. I don’t see the excitement and the desire that the Royals are showing. For them it’s like “Ho hum. Playoffs again. Wonder what the post game buffet is going to have tonight?”
Agree. They can play loose since noone’s expecting them to do anything - and they are enjoying it. If we can go ahead and finish the Angels, I hope the Orioles finish off Detroit, I’ve had enough of them this year.
I went to two games in that WS including game 7. Game 7 had to be a terrible thing for Cards fans to watch. It was a total demoralizing collapse. They could not get 6 out of their heads and 7 was a walk over.
Spent my whole life in the KC area watching the Chiefs and the Royals. Had Royals and Chiefs season tickets during much of the late 70s through the early 90s. Moved two years ago but this is the best week in KC sports and many a year.
Love the way the Royals play. Hope they finish off the Angels.
