What a game!
Pete what did you think of think of that managing? Pedro Martinez tore Yost a new one for bringing in that starter in relief of Shields, he’s lucky they won.
I’d say I feel bad for erstwhile Chi players Samardzija (Cubs), Soto (Cubs), or Dunn (Sox), but I had no desire whatsoever to see any of them succeed.
Billy Beane’s future?

Nice win by KC.
I think we’ve seen the last of the Billy Beane hype machine; he bet big and lost.

Pete, we need an official postseason thread
ALDS Predictions
Tigers over the Orioles
Angels over the Royals
Will root for the opposite in both.
NLDS predictions
Nasty Nats over the Giants (I don’t really care who wins)
Dodgers over the Cards (will root for Cards)

The only team I really care about is KC; if BAL does anything, it’s nice vindication for their GM, Dan Duquette, who was the real arcitect behind BOS’s 2004 WS win. Theo Epstein, as can be clearly seen, isn’t so great when he doesn’t take over a ready built team.
I agree with all of Impy’s predictions.

Scherzer on the mound for the Tigers tonight. Anibal Sanchez will pitch out of the bullpen if necessary.

I think last night we learned the Giants are going to be a very tough team to beat.

Hard to tell with that one game. They certainly have experience going for them, probably counts for a lot. I was actually thinking that the Buccos in a series would be tougher, they were on fire the last month or so.

Scherzer has settled in pretty good.

Nice to see someone else in the post season.
Sorry Royals have to lose to the Angels.

One of the best last few years. Turning down 144 mil...wowzers
The side arm submariner killed the Nats bats when they played the interleague series. Didn’t seem to bother Miggy right there.

Miggy has just gotten healthy after nursing an ankle injury all season.

why no Huston Street last nite in game 1 ?
Holland was 8th pitcher of game for KC. what if he blew the save and it went more innings> who was next to pitch?

To: campaignPete R-CT
Yeah, the 9th at home in a tie game, exactly as expected in that situation.
Good results yesterday, Tigers up in game 2 though, why is it on so early on a weekday?
