Environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. opined that those skeptical of the dangers of climate change ought to be silenced.
"I'm really tired of arguing with these people," Kennedy complained. "It's a drain on my energy. It takes time away from restructuring society along more socially beneficial lines."
Kennedy suggested that "climate skeptics should be put on trial at the Hague as 'war criminals.' Whether people realize it or not, we are at war for the planet's future. On one side are those who want to save the planet. On the other are people who want to stop us from saving the planet."
"If we don't save the planet everyone will die," Kennedy continued. "The actions that would lead to such a catastrophe are a worse crime than any committed by Hitler. So why should these climate change deniers be treated any more leniently than we would've treated Hitler had he not committed suicide?"

Semmens is, as always, on his "A" game.
Another fine (and scary) column John.

Apparently that line was added by a moderator.
John Semmens is an FR institution. His posts don't require warning labels in addition to the "semi-news, semi-satire" notice that he always inserts.
If the moderator can’t understand that “satire” does not equal “fake” then that moderator lacks the intellect to do his job properly. The history of satire goes deep in the English literature tradition.
I agree. What irks me is the people who complain when they don't get it.
They remind me of Libs who don't want anybody hearing what they don't like!
John, yours is among the best satire out there. I can’t tell you how many times I read through an article and then double back to make sure it isn’t written by you! Sadly most of the time it isn’t, which is a testament to how brilliant your writing is. You capture their tone perfectly, mocking them completely.
I guess some folk don’t appreciate being fooled, but yours is an art form rarely done well and I for one appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
Yes. They remind me of the leftists who simply cannot understand Rush Limbaugh's humor. They assume that all of Rush's comments are serious.
Satire is a powerful political weapon. Our side needs more of it.
Exactly!
I love those satire articles!
