While I am all for prepping I have to deal with the fact that my wife is not. She goes along with some things and rolls her eyes. I know for a fact I need to get out and exercise a lot more as I have put on 30 pounds in the last year since I now have a desk job. I’m pretty sure we have enough to hold us for a short time and then enough to get us to our alternate destination. After that it would be pretty rough.
Anyone else have difficulty getting your spouse on the prepping wagon?
The key is to create a SHTF scenario IN YOUR HOME.
Run your car into the local transformer. Cut the water and sewer pipes with a backhoe. Bust out all the windows. Hire an MS-13 gang to do a home invasion on your house.
Easy peasy.
Yes! My husband won’t entertain the idea one bit. Although, it’s probably because we are just trying to survive day by day as our financial situation is extremely difficult right now. We are moving towards self sufficiency and that alone means having a full larder every winter. We are a long way from that, but are way ahead of a few years ago. If we are willing to eat turtle meat we could live for years here!
He feels my desire to prepare for a crisis is a lack of faith in God as our provider.
