It still gets you nothing, although I agree with some of the arguments. Home ownership has property taxes, maintenance, and other issues - but there is nothing like the pride of ownership. Moreover, I believe we are on the brink of a MAJOR financial collapse in this nation.

I have my own home, no mortgage, pretty good location. Mortgage paid. Wouldn’t want it any other way, either. But for younger people there are so few guarantees for financial and societal stability, the rules have changed.
