If he had no record, you would think the family would want that known, and would be shouting it from the rooftops...it would go with the theme innocent valedictorian shot by bad cop.

But as you say, the fact that the Brown family attorneys argued against the release proves there is a record.

FOG, the award of damages to the family of a thug killed in street warfare is by now a hallowed traditional concept. Everyone in the 'hood is looking for a pay-out and government entities are well prepared, with "insurance," or self-insurance to deliver, hoping to "keep the peace" until next time... or at least until after the next election.

Ghetto Lotto? Loot-O? What's unfair is that the money often goes to those who purport to be the "parents," although as in Trayvon's case, thye have not seen the gangbanga for years. Some portion should go to the "Grannies" who struggle to house and feed these feral monsters.

OBTW, the lawyers do quite well, often receiving 30%, plus fees for handling "structured settlements."
