Buried in various spider holes and underground bunkers, the WMD stores were found in areas east, west, south and north around Tikrit and Baghdad. The existence of the WMD stores, unknown since 2003, have now become known. Now, known unknowns include ISIS’ specific plans for the WMDs.....
That's from Donald Rumsfeld. We know that there is a threat (the known); we don't know exactly what form that threat will take (the unknown).

I'll field that one too. A blog linked to that blog states that the information came from an unnamed "Iraqi government spokesman". No other evidence is provided.

Something doesn’t smell right here. The US scoured the country for years looking for WMD caches. How does ISIS waltz in and immediately “find” these?
Yes, Bush was absolutely right to go into Iraq. Look what he got, geography, infrastructure, air bases, hospitals, INTEL, right smack dab in the center of the ME. What have Obama and his thug democrats done? Given it back. They fought Bush along with MSM every day, every hour for eight years, using lies, innuendo, speculation to make him irrelevent.

Saying this article is poorly sourced or footnoted does not in and of itself prove the claim is untrue. Take 30 seconds and you will find multiple credible articles indicating the same basic information.

This would also prove that Obama was wrong to completely pull out of Iraq, was wrong about the threat of the war all along, that Kerry was wrong during his run in 2004 when he was for it before he was against it, and so on and on.
It's too bad that Mr. Ted "Lie after lie after lie" Kennedy isn't still around to explain things.
The Democrats probably figured that if it was all left buried in the sand, then it was best to leave it there so nobody would find it and the truth would never come out.

Looks like a lot of the ISIS terrorists were ex Saddam henchmen who knew where the WMDs were hidden and buried.
I don't know, but could some of ISIS be escaped henchmen of Saddam who were involved in the hiding of them -- just waiting for the chance to take over the area and retrieve them?
That’s my impression also: the combination of brutality and effectiveness indicates that ISIS is composed of Saddam’s former Baath associates who have been waiting to make a comeback. They are more than happy to use the jihadists as cannon fodder.
