We may be the generation to see the end of the 1,400 year nightmare horror that has been Islam.
While I agree in principle, my Christian ethos prevents me from confronting the reality of the assertion. It means not just the fighters (which I would have no qualms about sending them directly for a chat with the King of Kings) but also the women and children, even infants. Because anything less just delays a return of the same issues within a generation. So, to me in the short term, we meet the threat on the "battlefield" wherever that ground appears, be it aloft on an airliner or in the local malls or our church's or wherever the evil arises to threaten our lives directly. In the long term, this becomes as it always has been, an issue for God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Thanks, Travis for posting that little essay on the roots of evil.
Thanks for your clarity.
You are invaluable here!!!
And I stand by my theory: No Mecca, No Islam.
If the USA won't do it (even following WMD attacks) then Israel or Russia surely will.
Thanks Travis...
Liberal morons that support these people are in for a rude awakening if ISIS and their clones ever take over.
They’ll be the FIRST on the chopping block.
No, they’ll be the first to raise one finger and babble out the Shahada, converting to Islam to save their lives.
Thank you very much for this. I learned a few things this morning. Looking forward to your book.

“So, to me in the short term, we meet the threat on the “battlefield” wherever that ground appears...”
So you’ve resided yourself to a form of reality (conclusion) that if the “battle” is “anywhere” it would be ok to meet that???
Totally reactive in its premise...One I do not agree with...Nothing personal, or meant to insult...
From the get go post 9-11, the leadership in this country learned a lesson in reactive diplomacy, so our country almost immediately took the fight TO the bad guys, where they tended to flock at that particular time...
Since then the battle has been very dynamic, unconventional, and is no longer as locatable as it used to be...
And the biggest part of that is our country has managed up to the current administration been able to keep the “battle/fight” away from our soil...For the most part...
Would it be acceptable to you, to pull up stakes and allow the attention of the bad guys to start operating over here??? React to the threat on our own homeland???
And to alleviate what may be considered “not very Christian” by Colonel Peters, I propose that he DID mean kill every active terrorist we find, and their goat...
The concern you have as that the generational threat would and very well may manifest itself down the road is yet another indication that this is not something that we can put an “end game” or strategy to just “live with” down that road on our future...
This moral dilemma is very much a concern of many people, but Christians didn’t start this, evil did, and even though over the centuries Christians have made mistakes in their reactions, it is still a very simple concept...
Evil must be met, by either prayer, and if that does not work, then the next step is rather academic...
I’m ok with both situations, and if God and I need to have a discussion, I’m so up for that counsel it’s not even funny...
Just remember terrorists and their community do not have the same moral restraints as our faith expects us to have...So there is the dilemma “some” people on our side of the issue have...
Colonel Peters only had abut 3 minutes to make his point...He seems a little more assertive in his chosen dialog...I thought it was a pleasant shift in the “kid gloves” mentality permeating the media and our government for years...
Just my initial take on all of this...

OUTSTANDING! BTTT!
A little message needs to be discretely sent. There is one Trident 2 or Minuteman 3 tasked for Mecca. If one American city gets hit with a WMD that is even remotely traceable to an Islamic group.....
global jihad bump
Travis, a question for you, since you are studying this:
I have read that the most extreme jihadis WANT Mecca destroyed on the premise that praying to the black meteor is a form of idolatry.
Have you encountered this stance in your studies?
I don’t buy it. I’ve heard that Al Bagdhadi wants to bomb Mecca but I’d say it’s very lame agitprop. The IS is very serious about blowing up Shi’ia shrines and mosques, but I don’t believe it about Mecca.
Why?
Two of the Five Pillars of Islam depend on the physical entity in the Qa’aba (various spellings) in the center of Mecca. Without Mecca, they must fundamentally change Islam, and they can’t since it’s entirely based on the Koran with Mecca as its beating heart.
