So let me get this straight; Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg also the head of the Public INTEGRITY Unit is convicted of aggravated DUI. When she refuses to resign for behavior unbecoming of her office accountability is foreign to most liberals - Governor Rick Perry promises to veto the 7.5 million budgeted for the Integrity Unit. And for this, something presidents and governors practically do on a weekly basis, he is indicted on felony coercion charges by a heavily Democratic-laden, Austin grand jury? Oh, something definitely stinks in the Lone Star state and its called dirty politics. With just under three months to Election Day, liberals are desperate to install party nutjob extraordinaire, Wendy Davis, atop of the Texas pyramid. Why? One, progressives will do anything to paint Texas blue; albeit by gerrymandering, eliminating voter ID, removing the National Guard from the border, or outright amnesty. Two, Texas with its low taxes and business friendly environment stands as a beacon of liberty and economic prosperity; a success story that stands in direct contrast to Obamas decaying welfare state.
This entire fiasco is nothing but an obvious and petty ploy to taint Mr. Perrys name and plant a seed of criminality in voters minds. Coercion isnt holding a public servant accountable for behavior unbecoming of her elected office and appointed task force; coercion is putting a gun in someones back and forcing them into your car. Ms. Lehmberg had a choice and she chose wrong. Now the Governor is fully within his rights like all of his fellow gubernatorial constituents to withhold money from an office that does not comply with common sense standards. (Yes, Barack Obama threatens vetoes almost daily for the most inane reasons) Ultimately, I have no doubt the Governor will be cleared of these vindictive charges once hes defended before an impartial jury, its just a sad indictment of our society that the duplicitous and divisive politics of Rosemary Lehmberg and Wendy Davis converge to unhinge one of the last strongholds of our American republic.
Liberal witch hunt. The libs want to turn Texas blue and strip their guns. Perry was standing in their way....we know what this is really about
Yep. Just a desperate liberal ploy before the election. The arrest video of this woman is way too entertaining. He should make a campaign ad out of it. http://youtu.be/s7y7oJ266qI
Perry is not running for Governor this time, thank goodness.

Yep.
Integrity.
It's what puts the "grity" in the underwear of democrat politicans.

Great minds do think alike!
Democrats prove small minds think alike as well...
.
Can we indict Obama for misusing public funds for illegal immigration for political benefit and treason or using the IRS to target his enemies or sening funds to terrorists? And Rick Perry gets a 2 count indictment filed against him while the Prez would rack up far more serious charges and a helluva lot more of ‘em. Yeah we see what’s up.
In Austin, the FOX radio and local KLBJ news leads are stampeding over each other at the top, 15, 30, 45 of the hour to scream this news since noon. Literally, one feed will start screaming and once second later is interrupted by the other feed’s screaming.
Great White feeding frenzy.
Talk about oxymorons.
Abbott is the pub candidate for governor this election, not Perry.

BTTT!
Sure. Talk to Eric Holder, I'm sure he'll get right on it.
A change of venue should be the first order of business for the defense. Democrats lack the ability to be honest, or make ethical decisions, and they are psychologically incapable of distinguishing between ideology and integrity.
> Abbott is the pub candidate for governor this election, not Perry.
I know...: )
> Sure. Talk to Eric Holder, I’m sure he’ll get right on it.
I’d file a complaint but I’m afraid Holder would file blasphemy charges against me and drag me off to Shariah court
lol! You’re right, he would. Unless you are one of “his people”.
The Daily Mail has a pic of Ms. Lehmberg and it ain’t pretty.

Pretty much anyone with a law degree in Travis county thinks that everyone else in the state of Texas should be in jail.
This is standard democrat conduct in Texas : prosecutorial misconduct.
Apparently, the way I read it, Perry was allowed to veto the money. He just wasn’t allowed to SAY he was going to veto it.
Huh?
Typical goose stepping cow that should have been removed for her drunken activity. what a mixed up society we live in.

In the same manner as “Ministry of Truth”.
