Ferguson suffered its 5th night of unrest; as we feared during the day yesterday, when night fell in Ferguson, a combination of massive SWAT team presence and an increasingly disillusioned citizenry were a recipe for disaster. Over 70 heavily-armed police enforced quasi-martial-law in the troubled town, at least 10 people were arrested, tear gas and rubber bullets were unleashed, and 2 reporters were (briefly) arrested. Perhaps Rep. Justin Amash summed it up best, "Is this a war zone or a US city? Gov't escalates tensions w/military equipment & tactics."
"I've had enough of being pushed around because of the color of my skin. I'm sick of this police brutality," said one protester, who gave only his first name, Terrell, 18. "I'm going to keep coming back here night after night until we get justice."
Clashes broke out between police and protesters overnight in Ferguson, Missouri, four days after police shot to death an unarmed black teen.

What came first was a shooting and a dead guy...
BTW, why is the investigation so long?
They have all the physical evidence, the shooter, the gun, a dead body, bullet wounds, blood, spent casings, the officer involved statement and the witness statements...
Where is the official completed investigation?
Well, there are the property owners who won't be protected by the Jack Boots but will be prosecuted if they have to defend their property agianst the looters. If it were not for the innocent property owners I would encourage the two groups of scum to have at it.
What is 'justice'? is it telling the name of the officer? how will a name help?
is it abiding by legal process and staying patient for a trial, if any?
or do they just want a body to lynch and dance around without benefit of a inquiry?
The man is angling for an expansion of the ahem protests.
I don't think so. Immediately before the statement you quoted, he said:
"There is never an excuse for violence against police or for those who would use this tragedy as a cover for vandalism or looting."
He was calling for both sides to calm the h*ll down.
Or LA, Detroit, Baltimore, Washington, DC, etc in the 1960s. It’s not like this sort of thing has never happened in the USA before. Hyperbolic rhetoric only sinks to the “never let a crisis go to waste” standard.
I see a difference. He admonished people for violence and looting....something that actually happened.
Then comes the strawman....admonishing the police for interfering with peaceful protests.....which didn’t actually happen.
“Then comes the strawman....admonishing the police for interfering with peaceful protests.....which didnt actually happen.”
Yes, that happened too. Not all of the protests have involved violence and/or looting, and by most accounts, the police have interfered with a number of peaceful protests.
