Im not normally one to write a blog post about a dead celebrity, but then I suppose there is no such thing.
There are only living celebrities, not dead ones. In death, wealth and prestige decay and we are brought into a new reality, the only reality there is or ever was one which, for much better or much worse, doesnt care at all about our popularity or our money.
The death of Robin Williams is significant not because he was famous, but because he was human, and not just because he left this world, but particularly because he apparently chose to leave it.
Suicide.

There are many factors in the equation in treating mental illness....however with Williams his lifestyle throughout his years compounded his problem.....and he knew that.
He once said that his cocaine addiction helped control his manic side...but that was self administered and for that through him into full blown over medicating himself...then the booze added still another level of issues....
Factor in his temper and “mean side” his family members alluded to and you've got a recipe for an unfavorable outcome in time and tide. As mentioned...got to give him credit for making it to his 60's.....many more have thrown in the towel early on.
“You don’t know what he was......so you can’t speak for God in this matter as you seem to be doing”
Williams was a far left abortion supporting Obama supporter.
He thought it was fine to murder unborn babies and Tom and Dick to “get married”. One of his favorite stand-up routines was cutting down the Catholic Church, calling the pope and all priests pedephiles. George W. Bush was another of his favorites, piling on Bush for daring to be pro-life, and for not wanting women to abort their children.
Well you can certainly come down hard as you have on the guy....but we won’t really know the true story of what took place. It’s Hollywood and like all bouts with drugs and booze and all other vices they’ve mastered the cover to make it seem less then it really is.
The toxicology report has yet to be released the last I knew...but it won’t be surprising to me if there’s some drug or alcohol use..IF they really make that public.
My understanding is his recent rehab visitation was to sustain the level of recovery he was one, not because he had relapsed. And that’s not heard of in those circles.
BTW the man your so intent on destroying also entertained those very troops with PTSD.....and gave them an escape from their issues they were facing.
Yes, well said. Another problem is that manic depressives and schizophrenics are very prone to going off of their medications. It happens often, because of some of the side effects of the medication, and because they lose some of the “highs” of their disease.
Yes, I’m aware of that...even if they know well what will come if they do go off...they enjoy the highs....not realizing their highs aren’t seen by them for what they really are...that too is often in their thinking more than reality.
Lots of it is dependent on “feelings”....which is part of the problem as well. Feelings come and go normally in life but some attach themselves to them as the determining factor of how they live life....not real good at overcoming feelings they’d rather not contend with.....so they seek something outside themselves to combat them as an escape.
We all do that...escape from life at times of discomfort...it’s part of dealing with life as it comes....even Jesus went into the mountains to be by himself. HE knew where is strength to cope as a man came from...and would meet with His father there.
Unfortunately without faith..people will escape to unhealthy vices which simply numb the feelings rather than deal with them. And you don’t have to be mentally ill to do that.
deathbed confession is not the same as repenting of all of your sins.
I’m sure God understood what Williams would or not be talking with Him about....God’s call on Williams..and us all in the end.
Unfortunately without faith..people will escape to unhealthy vices which simply numb the feelings rather than deal with them. And you dont have to be mentally ill to do that.

Sadly, faith isn't always enough. At my sister's memorial service, much was made about her faith, but in the end, it didn't save her.
Oh I think she’s safely in his arms....faith rests in the man Jesus who said it was finished...not in our failures nor the degree in which our faith is at any given moment.
If she gave her soul to him prior...then she can’t snatch it back no matter what her state of faith was at her death.
Yes.
I believe that too.
I didn’t give him an excuse for his behavior . I’m trying to get you to understand what clinical depression is.
bump
You are very welcome. It’s been very nice to share with you.
We get it. Williams was clinically depressed.
A depressed man who had the wherewithal to kill himself. The disorder in his brain didn’t kill him. He killed himself.
He was in pain and he himself chose to end his life and give pain to those that loved him.
You say many on this thread are being cruel and judgemental. Are you not judging them as well?
You are casting stones at everyone who doesn’t agree with you. Maybe you should reflect on that.
May God have mercy on Williams’ soul
I guess you didn’t see his stand up routine about Osama bin Laden meeting his 72 “Virginians” - starting with George Washington..... Kicking his ass?
Robin was a complicated man, people like him usually are.
Back when Kadaffy really was an enemy of the US, he did a funny routine.
“This is a ‘Line of Death’......you cross it, you die.”
*Steps back*
“Ok, you cross THIS line you die.”

“Alright, you come knocking on my door, I’m not coming out...NYAAH!”
