I’d like it to get colder, if only to prove that the “warmists” are complete idiots.

They will never concede that they are idiots, and we already know they are, so it will settle nothing. I've already seen their defense of global warming if the decreasing sun spot activity causes prolonged cooling-- they say sun activity has nothing to do with CO2, they are independent, so the cooling is real, but doesn't mean that man is not still causing nefarious climate change by mucking with CO2 levels. After all, they are idiots.

Well-funded idiots. The article ends with:

Over the last 20 years, some $80 billion has been spent on research dominated by the assumption that global temperatures will rise. Very little research has investigated the consequences of the very live possibility that temperatures will plummet. Research into global cooling and its implications for the globe is long overdue.

The same idiots will probably get $80 billion of our money to produce equally bad models of global cooling -- until it starts warming again. And Al Gore is sure to collect his percentage, too.

You are aware that that is nonsense, right? As the climate cools, the oceans cool. When the oceans cool the solubility of CO2 decreases, and that excess CO2 is released from the oceans into the atmosphere. One would expect that cooling temps would cause an increase in atmospheric CO2.
