When Sarah Palin stormed onto the scene in 2008, there was no denying the power of her brand. Whether you loved her or hated her, whether you thought she was the future or rolled your eyes at her moose hunting and seeing Russia from her house, you knew what she stood for, and you had some begrudging respect for her positioning as a hockey mom who didnt believe in wasting a civic nickel. (You gotta remember the stuff on pigs and pork?)
The previously unknown Alaska governor quickly became a new breed of working mother. A strong conservative woman. An unlikely but believable candidate to shatter the glass ceiling. A rallying force for the Tea Party and other right-wingers. A maverick, a rebel, a politician unafraid of speaking her mindand who cared if it was uninformed or inappropriate?
With John McCain (who is so not a kook that I cant understand how his brand ever got commingled with Her Kookiness, because brands are judged by the company they keep), she tried her best to give Obama a run for his money and earn that erstwhile place a heartbeat away from the famous 3 a.m. phone call. When that didnt work out, she traded politics for much-more-lucrative punditry and remained a force that shaped the American conversation, for better or worse....

I can’t believe Forbes has a ditzy moron writing for them that has confused Sarah Palin with Tina Fey. I guess finding good employees is tough these days. Marian, Sarah Palin is not Tina Fey. They are two different people. I guarantee it.
Why don’t these elites just say it out loud? They all think that Governor Palin and the rest of us are all “white trash”. We stupid redneck, gun-toting Tea Party idiots who believe our nation is spiraling out of control because it has failed to adhere to the constitution that has enabled us to survive for well over 200 years.
She sounds like a kook a lot of the time when she speaks.
So I just read what she says, no problem.
Where has he been the last two decades?
The self proclaimed elites cannot say this for it would mark them clearly as the bigots they make us out to be here in fly over Palin patronizing country.
These fools do not see that white on black bigotry and elitist on non-elites bigotry and liberal on conservative bigotry is all the same. It is bigotry!
Bigotry is healthy. It heals the spirit and lift the soul higher and higher.
The other day , I was listening to a couple of baseball announcers filling the dead spaces between pitches with BS, and sure enough, they took a swipe at Palin by bringing up the “I can see Russia” lie.
What that has to do with baseball, I haven’t a clue.
Marian Salzman writes for Forbes magazine and gets her “news” from SNL skits.
Such is the state of “journalism”.
This author drips stinky stuff from her ears having her head recently emerge from her....I say no more, you get the picture.
Do you mean `so far up she has to open her mouth to break wind’?
A worthless target attracts no fire.
Well, I guess you should pack up and mail some silverware and a pair of your shorts to Ms. Salzman.
What, waterboarding terrorists? Oh, I can sanction that all day and all night long.
