Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin hammered Jesse Ventura for winning a $2 million defamation lawsuit this week against Chris Kyle's widow.
After Kyle's death, Ventura continued with the lawsuit that stemmed from a passage from Kyle's book in which Kyle claimed he knocked out an unnamed Navy SEAL for trashing the troops. During his book tour, Kyle said that was Ventura. But after Kyle was tragically killed in 2013, many felt that Ventura, who has done a lot to damage his own reputation over the years, should have dropped the lawsuit.
"Hey tough guy, Jesse Ventura, your feelings were hurt because you perceived your reputation was besmirched by words in a book?" Palin said on her SarahPalinChannel. "So you turn around and sue, expecting $2 million from a military widow and her fatherless children? Yeah, like that is going to help your reputation, jackass."
Chris Kyle was a true American patriot -- the soldier who stood up for his country and saved so many lives by doing the job his Commander-in-chief gave him, taking out the bad guys. For his extraordinary work, Chris was known as "The American Sniper."(continued)

Precisely what I was thinking. Jesse Ventura is the worst form of jerk for suing a widow and her kids. A REAL MAN would've dropped the lawsuit rather than sue a Widow and young children because his poor wittle feelings were hurt.
His writings are his record and he recorded those freely.
1. You are absolutely correct.
2. Ventura is an arrogant douche who should fade away into obscurity.
Both of those are true.
I’m sorry but if that was a visit from the grammar police, go to bed! And the really large font with multiple exclamation points, priceless.
Since Kyle was dead it was Jesse Ventura (the former governor of the state where the trial was held) against some words in a book.
Ventura is a pig. And he can't sue me because it's true.
Hey Jackass kiss my royal ass
I was making a point without name calling - you should try it idiot
you’re another stupid ass
apparently you have no intelligence to argue an actual point
I don’t know if the guy being alive to appear in court would have been enough to swing the case.
Apparently eyewitnesses to the incident said hat it never happened.
I don’t care much for Jesse Ventura but he was an actual navy seal (a hard job to get) and I can’t imagine him saying he would like to see our guys in the military “lose a few”
It is a moot point because the guy who claims he said it is dead, but eyewitnesses in court said it never happened.
The only point I am trying to make here is the piling on- It seems a bit excessive to me. As I said in my first post, he may be a buffoon, but not a traitor and don’t blame him for getting PO’d about it
I care nothing for Ventura, but wasn’t there a video deposition of Kyle himself relating that parts of the story was false and his publisher urging that they keep the false parts? Or is that BS? Seems like it must have been something pretty convincing if the jury went like that. But it’s not like juries haven’t been manipulated with less before.
I wonder if video of the incident will ever emerge. Both sides have motive for not taking or deleting pictures of the aftermath, if anyone used their cell phones. Kyle’s side because they don’t want him charged for decking a mouthbreather, Ventura’s because he’s going to sue for defamation not turn him into the cops and be reviled by his supposed peers in the seals. I guess it would have to be a third party not involved, and it sounds like everyone at this place was on one side or the other.
Freegards
Whut? Please kick yourself in the ass and explain just what reputation this bald longhair from the 60’s is set to lose.
That (!!!) was a compliment. calm down, really...
I can tell you one thing, Jesse Ventura’s character isn’t worth 2 million dollars. It isn’t worth a plug nickle. Even if he was defamed, then, just like the Nazi in QBVII who sued for libel and won, the jury should not have awarded him more than a dollar in damages.
If I misunderstood I apologize, in the open forum. Kind a kranky 5 hrs at Er and feel like hell. Take care.
You may not like the guy, but his likeability is irrelevant in his ability to prove that his reputation and ability to earn an income was damaged by the allegations that were written in the book.
And don’t forget Jesse got his good name back and I’m sure now the SEAL’s will make him feel welcome at the reunions.
Jesse Ventura swoons over Fidel Castro and Che Guevara
