It’s called DDT, but you can’t get it because of do-gooders.
Skin So Soft...works wonders
Thanks, I’ll give it a try. At least it won’t stink like the bug sprays do.
We need some liberal repellent to rid the country of this infestation.
Agree on Skin So Soft. Only thing I’ve found that repels no-see-ums. A must have on the golf course in FL.
We used skin so soft on our horses. It works.
Skin So Soft may have worked on a golf course, but in the Everglades the one student who refused a DEET based spray was lunch!
The Skin So Soft must have performed as the ad implies - because she was covered with bites from ear to rear. Strangely, she still believed in Skin So Soft.
Perhaps she was the offspring of Libtards? That would be the only reason I can imagine that after being lunched and munched on by umpteen skeeters, she still believed in that stuff.
Will this spray work on dogs to get rid of fleas?
1. 100% DEET. Jungle Juice. Sold at REI. Extremely effective.
2. Alternatively: For clothing, your local hardware store has Permethrin. It is a safe insecticide and insect repellent. Simply mix 1/2 ounce ounce with a bucket of water, soak your clothing, then let dry. It kills fleas and ticks on contact and many other bugs. It also keeps pests away. It does not smell, leave stains, or cause allergic reactions. It is used by the military as an alternate insect repellent versus something like DEET. I like it because it does not require reapplication every few hours. It works for weeks on end and can even survive several washings.
I was thinking about this.. if i spray it on my clothes will i still have to spray something on my arms and face? just wondering how effective it is...
Is this satire?
We've found that nothing beats Pyranha for horses, and buy it by the gallon in concentrated form. And if some of it gets on me, so be it!
BKMK
For Permethrin, no. Never apply to skin. Clothing will do just fine. Soak even your shoes, backpacks, hats, sleeping bags, etc.
Permethrin is made from the Chrysanthemum flowers. It has been known for centuries to repel and kill bugs. It is what is in things like borer worm killer for trees.
sorry i didnt mean apply to my skin, but say i do my t shirts... will that still protect my arms? face etc?
Yes, it will. I use it on t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops, and I do not get bit.
