It has been more than three months since my constituents in Bunkerville, Nev., had their lives turned upside down by the standoff at the Bundy ranch. Although Bunkerville (population 1,300) is no longer in the media spotlight, life there has not returned to normal. The militia presence may have dwindled, but a sense of chaos and uncertainty lingers in my state and the broader American West.
When news of a rebellious rancher facing off with federal agents broke in April, conservative media and politicians pounced, quickly lionizing Cliven Bundy as a patriot. They handed Bundy a megaphone, and self-proclaimed militia members from across the country rallied to his side.
Conservative media painted Bundy as “The Last Rancher” and, with apocalyptic fanfare, Bunkerville was transformed into some fevered final bastion of freedom. For some pundits, this was a simple tale about a rancher defending his way of life against an overgrown federal bureaucracy. But for others, the stakes swelled far beyond that, and Bundy became a magnet for a mishmash of frustrations, from legitimate to conspiratorial.
In the frenzy to pillory the government that ensued, almost no viewpoint seemed too extreme to voice. Emboldened by attention from such high-profile conservative media figures as Sean Hannity, armed militia members set up checkpoints, stopped traffic and occupied roads....

Isn’t this the guy who lives-in and represents north las vegas? That is 90 miles away from Bunkerville, separated by 90 miles of desolate desert. n las vegas is a dump and what might be referred to as a “”black hole”. Sure, this guy has a handle on the Bunkerville situation. Typical DIMocRAT liar and degenerate.

Obama (progressivism) and the dangers of fueling extremism
With making progressivism acceptable by electing Obama it has fueled and accelerated extremism. Through mislabeling and misleading the general population with claims of global warming, false economic claims and false culture claims, Obama has fueled extremism.
The promotion of killing children. The promotion of theft and redistribution of a mans wealth. Rejection of normalcy and forced acceptance of perversion. Targeting of conservatives with IRS. Fraudulent elections through vote rigging and shutting down of opponent party groups. People being forced out of employment. Food prices being driven up. Aliens being brought into our land bringing diseases and taking jobs, and supporting and promoting corruption and more extremism. Making good citizens felons by the stroke of pen. Taking of peoples means of self-defense. Attacks on religion and religious people. Forcing “unacceptable” business out of business. The ignoring of rule of law and making of laws through “pen and phone.” The debasement of our currency with QEx.x. The arming of every government agency with intent to be used on citizens.
Progressives paint Obama as their messiah making tingles go up and down their legs and fainting at his events. The adoration heaped upon him by complicit main stream media and their unwillingness to look at his background and failures gave the impression to the rest of the progressives that he was their messiah, to be adored, worshipped, followed, and loved. They look for him to take away their sins.
The progressive sins of their own failures as humans needs to be absolved. By projecting and forcing their sins on another group, the opponent party and conservatives, the progressives believe they can be absolved of their own sins. With Obama leading the way as their messiah, they can do no wrong. They are always right and it doesn’t make any to what means they use to achieve their ends. Their absolution is needed, required, and they need a sacrifice. Not one sacrifice will do, but a continual sacrifice, the beatings and oppressions of their target group will continue and accelerate as their extremism becomes more and more.
Obama has emboldened his base, the progressives - the extremists, to take stronger and more extreme measures against the general population, their opponents, and their target group.
Glenn Beck, more than once on his radio show (when he’s not giggling with his sidekicks) has mentioned that two militia protesters later shot two cops in Las Vegas.
No mention of the fact that these two Bundy Ranch “protesters” were ordered off the Bundy Ranch by the Bundy family.....no mention of the fact that these two cop killers were part of the Occupy movement in Indiana and attended Occupy events there before moving to Las Vegas.....no mention of the fact that these two idiots were never in the militia protecting the Bundy family, etc.

Liberals still don’t get it that it wasn’t about Bundy or cattle to many people. It was about the government going in with a military type force for a civil matter, and about “free speech zones” and other things the government did there that don’t set well with many folks.
Like I said on another thread, when Rick Perry calls up the citizens of Texas to help secure the border
It will look like the gazillion man march compared to the Bundy Ranch.
