If you look up 'shameless' in the dictionary...
As a passenger liner with almost 300 people was shot-down, the Kremlin can see that this is the death for the underhanded crap they've been pulling in Ukraine, as for outside opinion anyway, they're toast.
Vlad was trained how to lie, obfuscate, and deflect by the KGB, and he's usually pretty good at it. But this one really takes the cake:
"This would not have happened if there were peace on this land ... and, certainly, the state over whose territory this occurred bears responsibility."
Oh really? Not the lowlife GBU Colonel and his Moscow mafia soldiers you armed with tanks and advanced AA weaponry? No responsibility there?
Why did he brag about it?
When he said 'don't fly in OUR sky', who was WE, Vlad?
Why did he say 'a bird fell', why would he say it that way, Vlad?
Why not "OMG, the Ukrainian government shot-down a passenger plane!!!"
THE KREMLIN started this war, THE KREMLIN is continuing this war, and THE KREMLIN's proxies shot down that airliner yesterday, while denying they had the weaponry to do so. Funny, everybody knows the Ukrainians didn't... but God Knows what SAM system Putin has sent over the border (oops, now we know).
Maybe the world will learn the hate the Russians as I -and any sensible person in the West- does... with their current regime, you'd have to be an idiot to ever believe a single word they say. And they MUST be resisted at every turn...

In retrospect, that was probably a bad idea. About as dumb as giving Obama a Nobel Peace Prize. Let me guess, we are still flying commercial routes over Iraq ? Over Syria ?
Hate to break this to the World War IIIers, but Russia has already plainly stated, they will go nuclear if they have too. So don't act surprised when you see the mushroom clouds.

“Shameless Scumbag Vladimir Putin”
The faster this garbage kicks the bucket, the better. It's time to take the gloves off and just make the garbage have an accident once he flies somewhere outside of his mongoloid shit hole.

...so the most logical explanation is that the rebels mistook the Malaysian B777 for a Ukraine Air Force transport. There is one problem with that. There is no way you can mistake a commercial target at over 30,000 feet for a cargo plane at 10,000 feet. Not possible. Visually there is a massive size difference and the altitude should have been displayed on the radar guidance system controls. And commercial planes, the ones flown by idiots, were traveling through that airspace at altitude throughout the day.

Quite a bit of the old soviet gear was built in the Ukraine. The Ukranians even kept the old Soviet nukes on their territory, at least for awhile.

They had not shot down any planes the previous few days. So I guess they just had a bad hair day ? Unless of course you believe Putin rode a live bear across the border and jumped on the missile truck firing station and fired the missile himself.
Look people, this is the start of World War III. We are already over a year into it thanks to the corrupt cronies running the US into the ground. Expect more bad. And I think they did not care what kind of plane that was. No will they in the future. Who ever shot it down. Just listen to their own words. Must have been spies then.

They had not shot down any planes the previous few days. Should read
They had not shot down any civilian planes at altitude the previous few days.

Why can’t you say that the fault lies with those who fired on a passenger airline?

Sounds good except for the tweets and recorded conversation tying this to rebels backed by Russia. Not to mention the scavenging of the crash site to remove evidence including black box from aircraft. Only ones with access to site ...rebels and Russian friends.

We don't know everything yet. But, if I had to choose between the possibility (1) that one or more pro-Russian incompetents mistakenly shot down a commercial aircraft because Putin has recklessly permitted such folks to have such weapons in their control or (2) that WWIII just started, I'll go with the former.
Putin has been reckless.

They will never do that so long as they know there is mutual destruction. Ronald Reagan called out the Russian Bear and backed him down.

Why can’t you say that a commercial jet liner has no business flying over a war zone that has active anti-aircraft assets deployed? It’s not as if this kind of thing has never happened before after all. right?
