On this episode of The Conservative Beacon Podcast, Josh Price wants to know why the media are so eager to blame Russia and Vladimir Putin for missile attack on Malaysian Airlines flight MH15, but whenever Islamic terrorists are behind an attack the media caution against speculation on blame.
Head over to TheConservativeBeacon.com to listen.
The Russians will have to write a big check for this one.
Otherwise, major sanctions will be placed on Russia.
This may come as a shock to you, but sometimes serious events happen in other parts of the world. The fact that our media may use those events to distract you from others doesn't make them any less serious.
I noticed that when the news first broke of the crash.
FoxNews had Geraldo on ranting and blaming Putin. This was before they even had data that the plane was it by a missile.
Later in the afternoon and again just a few minutes ago, Shep Smith was ranting at Putin being responsible.
In an odd way, it also helps that it distracts from Israel’s long needed offensive. If not, then that is all we would be hearing about as they bashed Israel while covering up the border crises
I heard Geraldo’s rant as well. He may well be proven correct, but you could clearly hear in his voice his predisposition and eagerness to blame Putin and Russia.
But I never thought of it that way, I must admit: Vladimir Putin, the O.J. Simpson of American politics.
Do they really blame Putin? Apart from Geraldo, my impression was that most of them were hesitant to jump to any conclusions. And in this case, wasn’t pretty clear to begin with who the possible suspects were?
I can not stand Geraldo and I turn whenever he comes on. Ian then often done with Fox for the rest of the day.
A question was asked, why the media rush to call it for Russia when the reflexively refrain and call for waiting when it's Islamic?
I said it was to make a distraction. What if the media were to call for not rushing to judgment? That would make the story about who the real killers were, about what are they covering up, about the Americans who were on board and what is Obama doing about it.
So you're saying that the media rushed to Putin because the media knows it's a serious event? No, I know you're not. It's not relevant to the question.

BINGO
Juan McCain is already steaming smoke through his piehole demanding that “we” do something
You haven't been paying attention. Russians have been shooting down planes (and helicopters) over Ukraine. Nobody else has. It's not a big stretch to assume this was Russia's doing.
Do you have any specific terrorist events when as much was understood going in?
The stuff they do now with the border, with the economy, with unemployment, dying children.
-PJ
not one of these psdeuo journos even asks about motive-
d’OH!
Because THERE IS NO UPSIDE FOR RUSSIA and NO MOTIVE for the Russians to blow a nonthreatening Air Malaysia passenger jet out of the sky with a Russian missile
But let’s blame Putin! Because, well, he bans homosexual propaganda in Russia and is therefore evil
At worst it is looking like some of Russia’s advanced weapons ended up in the hands of psychos aka “separatist rebels”
well, gee. Its not like the US would ever let THAT happen
I wouldn’t see it’s clear, but the evidence does point down a couple of paths only. But that’s not my point here.
Wouldn’t you say that in most terrorist attacks in the last 20 years there’s pretty clear evidence as to who’s behind them? The media are never so quick to assign blame in those instances. In fact, they devote time and space to attempting to explain how it’s NOT Islamic terrorists.
So my question is why is this case different? What’s different about Putin and Russia compared to Islamo-fascists. Why is it OK to take the initial reports and anecdotal evidence, synthesize them, and draw such an emphatic preliminary conclusion in this instance?
So, a plane (allegedly) gets shot down somewhere, and you want to make this about our border crisis. Ok.

What does he want us to do??? Start WWIII, which we’ll probably lose because we refuse to do what’s necessary in wars to win.
I guess that makes it ok, then. Sorry your delicate anti-homo sensitivities were violated by this insignificant event.
