Yes, sir...we're not perfect, nor have we ever been. But we're the closest thing to a perfect society and nation that has ever graced God's Green Earth. We've made mistakes in the past, and we've corrected them We're making mistakes now, but we will eventually correct them. It won't be easy; it'll be painful, hard, terrifying, and maybe even bloody, but we will fix our problems one way or another.

Please forgive a variation of the last paragraph from the opening speech in Patton, but one day I will go to meet my Maker. General Patton will be there, and will ask me what I did in the Second American War for Independence. At least I won't have to look him in the eye and say, "Well sir, I shoveled sh!t in the Philippines."

Dawg Soldiers up! Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

“... but we will eventually correct them....”

Damn right. By any means necessary.

“When asked if respondents “often feel proud to be American,” a majority of strong liberals, 60 percent, said no.”

How many of these Bass Turds have ever even been to another country or lived or fought in another country? How can they compare how great they have it here? How many of them have ever talked to someone who used to live in a former communist country under oppression to hear what it’s like? Let them listen to someone who lived in Hungary, Poland, Yugoslavia, or Czechoslovakia and then tell me you’re not the most blessed human on Earth to be able to live here. How many of these dumba$$es in the poll even knows who Thomas Jefferson was? How many can even name on person who signed the Declaration of Independence? I know what my ancestors had to endure in this country to insure our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and I’ll be damned if I am gonna let these pissants throw away all our hard earned freedoms.
